DIY Holiday Napkin Rings
DIY holiday napkin rings made with left over wrapping paper rolls, hot glue and your favorite holiday ribbon. This simple project will jazz up any holiday table this season.
With one week till Christmas (are you even ready?) I am starting to think about my holiday dinner table. This year my sister and her family will be spending Christmas Day with us and I am so excited. It’s been a few years since we have had any family here for Christmas.
As I finished wrapping all my gifts ( sorry if you haven’t) I was left with empty cardboard rolls. I remember I had this same idea a few years ago and thought …why not, lets do it again this year.
DIY Holiday Napkin Rings
This is such a simple project and what’s even better is you can totally use what you have at home to make custom napkin rings for your holiday table.
Supplies needed
- cardboard tubes from wrapping paper rolls
- scissors
- hot glue gun
- your favorite holiday ribbon
How to make
Get the glue gun plugged in and heated up.
Determine the width of your napkin ring. To make it easy I use my selected ribbon to determine the width of the rings. Cut of your desired piece of cardboard roll with a sharp pair of scissors.
Cut your fabric off the roll. I always wrap it around to see how much I need and just cut the end.
Apply some glue to the cardboard roll to the beginning and end of your ribbon to secure it to the cardboard roll.
Holiday table inspiration using DIY holiday napkin rings
Since making these napkin rings is so super simple, I went ahead and made a few other rings and designed a few different holiday table looks. Everything I used for these table settings are items that I had on hand.
Don’t forget to look around your home for items to create a magical holiday tablescape. I hope this simple project will inspire you to create something beautiful this weekend.

I’m in love with your white tree Laura!! I’d love to have a small white one for my sewing room…wouldn’t it be pretty even for Valentines day!? I also love the white fur wreath…I’m probably going to be making one of those.
