The lights at Duke Manor Farm
The lights at Duke Manor Farm this season and some pretty spectacular light display events in the area.
Ahhh the magical lights of the holiday season. If there was one thing that I could look at all year, instead of just a few weeks it’s bright lights twinkling outdoors. Today I wanted to share Duke Manor Farm all lit up and some amazing holiday light displays if you are in the North Georgia area.
The lights at Duke Manor Farm
I am sure you have seen a lot of interior holiday decor lately. Today is a bit different. My pal Jennifer at Town and Country Living Blog put this wonderful idea of sharing outdoor area holiday lights. I wanted to show you what we did here at Duke Manor Farm and then give you the names of some local places to catch some beautiful light shows.
Although I live in the country with a few neighbors on the road , we always do our best to put lights around the house since we all enjoy them. Some years the lights have been more extensive then others. This year I had grand plans to have a tree with spotlights and icicles hanging from the house. Most of that happened until my tree blew over in the wind…again and again. I finally conceded and moved the tree to the piano room indoors. It has not blown over since. However I was lucky enough to get some pictures before the windy mishap. It sure did look pretty.
Here’s the house without the tree…just the icicles.
Now it’s time to share a few spectacular holiday light display events going on in December…if you are in North Georgia it’s worth putting on the ‘Go Visit’ list.

Six Flags
One destination that is on the kids holiday break bucket list is Six Flags which is west of Atlanta. We have never been during the holidays, but I hear that every thing is done up some beautiful with lights and holiday displays and they have several holiday attractions and events for the whole family.
I will be back later in the week to share more of our outdoor lights at Duke Manor Farm. Until then click on the links below to see more magical holiday from across the country, from the East Coast to the Pacific Northwest. And stop back tomorrow for a few more!

WOW! these are all so magical- especially that tree lined road!
I love piling the kids in the car and driving around looking at pretty lights.
Your tree and home exterior are beautiful! And now I want to go to Callaway Gardens at Christmastime! Thanks for being on the tour, Laura!
Your home looks gorgeous lit up and, wow, those are some festive lights nearby to you! They’re doing a special light display in the next town over for the first time this year. So we’re going to check it out when Luke’s parents arrive from England. π
LOL on the tree blowing over! Santa is sure to spot your house from his sleigh and I hope he fills your stocking!
not funny. i loved that tree outside!! π
I love that little tree! So sad that it kept blowing over! I’m glad it has a nice new home inside. And those light displays around Georgia are amazing! I’m sure your kids adore them!

my hubby rolled his eyes with the whole idea π
Wow, those lights are incredible! I I canβt even imagine how much work goes into putting on such a tremendous display!
I’m such a fan of Christmas lights and these are spectacular, especially that tree-lined road! And I know your tree ended up blowing down, but it was such a great idea! It looks absolutely gorgeous (maybe next year you can find a way of securing it – it looks so good!)
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I love those drive through light displays! I’m sure Six Flags at Christmas is very much like our Hershey Park during the holidays! We were just there briefly last evening and it’s always so magical! Loved seeing a bit of your home’s exterior at Christmas too!
