Mid Week Updates … Happy Birthday to my Mom!

We are on Fall Break this week and today we are spending it here doing a little zip lining. My husband has talked about going back to this place since he visited years ago. I am not the best with heights but putting my game face on and going all in for the adventure. When you hear loud screams today….that would be me. More stories and pics to come.

Celebrating my mom’s birthday

I headed to S.Florida over the weekend to help celebrate my mom’s 75th birthday, which is actually today. What an awesome weekend to celebrate such an extraordinary woman. 4 kids, 8 grand kids and 3 bouts of cancer ( breast, lung and skin) we are so thankful for the gift of her presence and love in our lives.

While I was in S.Florida I was able to spend some time at the beach and managed to take a ‘field trip’ to the Breakers in Palm Beach. I will share my review of the spa and my visit in a later post. One word….fabulous. This is a picture in the lobby of the Breakers.

Since my mom moved to Jupiter early this year we have been hanging out on the beaches in Jupiter, which by the way are stunning. This shot was taken at ‘Blowing Rocks’ which is on Jupiter Island. The water was so incredibly beautiful this day. Hard to believe but the temps in S.Florida were a little cooler then North East Georgia with no humidity which made sitting on the shore all that much more enjoyable.

A few weeks ago I shared a few Fall things I ordered including this top that I wore last weekend. Good lordy,  I can’t take a fashion selfie without looking like a big dork….but you get the idea. Super soft, great fit and very reasonably priced. I paired it with this denim skirt.

To keep my highlights from looking so brassy between colorings, I have been using this  purple shampoo for months and love it. I also love the price.

As soon as I landed in Palm Beach my sister and I headed to the roof top bar Restoration Hardware West Palm Beach. It was this gorgeous. If you are ever in the area I would highly recommend a stop for a cocktail or snack.
