Spring Family Room using blush accents
Spring Family Room using blush accents
Getting in Spring mode hasn’t been that tough around Duke Manor Farm. The temps were in the 70’s this weekend, we cut the grass for the first time this year and my winter white legs were sporting some shorts.Yikes!!! Time to get the inside of the house equally prepped for the spring season….and some color on my legs.
Here’s the same ‘winter view’ of the room.
Today I am joining some other bloggers to share how they transitioned and prepared their Living Room spaces for spring. A special thanks to my pal Jennifer at Town and Country Living for coordinating this week long event. All the links will be at the end of this post.
Spring Family Room using blush accents
My love for blush continues since it made it’s debut during Christmas. You can see how I used it in this space here. And even though my boys were not the biggest of fans, like at all, I love how blush just calms everything down and invokes such a peaceful vibe. It didn’t take much except for a new geometric pillow, two blush colored vases and a pink candle to usher in the Spring season in this room. Everything else that I used in this space I already had. In fact most of the pillows and throws were ones that I used during the winter months.
Standing at the fireplace looking into the kitchen.
To carry the blush theme around the room I used some pink eggs that I put in a bowl and some artwork that I had previously done. A bunch of white tulips and a pink candle seal the deal.
Temporary Family Room
Technically this room isn’t my Living Room. It’s our Keeping room that we are currently using as our Family room. Think sitting room off the kitchen. Basically we moved the family room furniture into this room while we are working on that room. The goal when we started back in January, was to repaint the white wood ceiling and change out the lights and be done in February….. we’re not done yet. You can read my plan for the space here.
This is the view walking into the room from the breakfast area.

Try incorporating small subtle changes in blush
I love the blue and blush combo but the truth is, that blush done right and not overwhelming can work with a lot of color combinations. Small subtle additions like a blush throw, pillow or vase can be just the right amount of color that you need in your space without going overboard. So subtle…… that maybe your boys won’t even notice.
Enjoy all the Spring inspiration this week and don’t forget to follow Duke Manor Farm on Instagram and Facebook where I share tips, projects and behind the scenes of my real life funny farm at Duke Manor.

I’m loving all the blush pinks!! My hubby made it very clear that all the pink stays in Scarlets room LOL maybe one day he’ll let me have pinks in the living room. Till then I’ll just adore everyone else blush decor 🙂
You know I love the light in your beautiful home, I know that sun is rough on hardwood, but it’s so so gorgeous! And I LOVE the touches of pink, I think I may do pink for the Spring porch this year! Thanks for that inspiration! 🙂
