Duke Manor Farm Notables….. and what a difference a day makes!

What a crazy weather week it has been! Not only here in North East Georgia but all over the country. Kids were out of school on Monday for MLK holiday followed up with two additional snow days during the week. Needless to say not much get’s done when they are home. Which was totally fine because I didn’t mind the additional snuggle time with the kids.

What a difference a day makes. I took the picture on the left on Tuesday morning and the one on the right Wednesday morning. Honestly, if it can’t be green outside, I’ll take the white stuff. A little snow fall makes everything look so magical, doesn’t it?

As far as the progress of the family room…..slow mo. I have been slowly getting everything caulked and painted. I am using white from Behr. For the longest time I used SW pure white and I actually like the Behr white better. The walls are done and now I am tackling the ceiling. I needed to call in more taller reinforcements aka hubby, so he can do the very top of the ceiling.

The lights that I ordered for the walls came in and I love them…. so much so, I ordered one more to put on my Butlers Pantry wall. The one that I have up now is an inexpensive outdoor light that I painted. I think the new one could satisfies my itch to add some updated elements in brass to the space.
