Weekend Hangout at Duke Manor Farm

Welcome to the weekend hangout at Duke Manor Farm. I am dishing about the latest projects, latest binges, buys and just random stuff that I think you will enjoy.

Spring has arrived in Northeast Georgia! Everyday Everyday I wake to see more green on the ground, budding on the trees, and the daffodils and Bradford pears in full bloom. I am also enjoying this calm before the pollen storm arrives and covers everything with a fine yellow dusting.

I don’t actually go full on with getting porch and patios set up for the season until the pollen has passed. In fact, I bought a new sectional for the upper patio but have decided to keep it boxed in the shop until then.

I am finally adulting and got a membership to Sam’s Club. Couldn’t help but pick up this heat lamp (that was on sale) for our screened porch. It has come in handy during the chilly nights and will warm up the space pretty quickly.

Projects

I am still finishing up a few more things in the office/craft room makeover. My hubby’s office is just about complete. I love the way the new rug is working in his space. I still need to refinish the side tables (not sure what yet) and maybe add some beams to the ceiling. The addition of the beams require a bit more time, so that may not happen anytime soon. We will also be changing out the carpet at some point. It’s original when we built the house and it’s time.

Other Randomness

I am not a real golfer but found ‘Double Swing’ on Netflix really good. In fact, I am thinking about playing more. I have a set of Callaway clubs that my hubby and I bought for an anniversary years ago, and they don’t get enough play. The problem is there are not a ton of courses in my area. Pickleball is another sport I would love to take up.
My kids have 9 weeks left of school and I am freaking out because that means I will have a graduate!
I am trying to cut as much sugar out of my diet as humanly possible. The first to go was the ‘fat free creamer’ for the my morning tea. I am now using ‘sugar free’ and although I really don’t love it, I know that it was a good move.
I can’t say enough about this face serum. I am loyal to the core with products I love, particularly when it comes to getting the job done….on my face.
This is the perfect transitional sweatshirt for warmer days and cooler nights. It’s on mega sale right now…..sadly I paid full price. Size down. I am wearing a Small ( I am usually a med) and it is still oversized.
