Weekend Hangout …….Happy New Year!

Hello and Happy New Year! It’s been a hot minute…well more like a month since I have published here on the blog and I have missed you. I hope the new year is off to a good start for each of you.

Finished Project- Media Room

For Christmas this year we decided to give the kids a ‘family’ gift and do a game room makeover. They knew we were doing something, they just didn’t know what. I absolutely loved how it turned out…and so do they. I’ll share a full reveal later, but here is the sitting area of the space.

Next Up- Projects

Right off the game room is a room that was designed to be a second laundry room. The only problem was our builder never vented it out for a dryer, he only did the plumbing for a washer. Can you say knucklehead. Needless to say we never used it for how it was intended. Instead, the room has been used as a storage room for many years and most recently a computer area for my son.

I have already started on some small updates (mostly painting and adding some acoustic panels) in this space. To give you a sense of layout, right next to this room is our media room which I finished last summer and we are enjoying so much.

Newest Edition to the Farm

Last weekend we welcomed a new baby to the family. Meet Lil Baby Lewie.

Mama Pax is in the background. Mama goats are fiercely protective of their offspring….especially if it’s just one that she is watching. We were a bit surprised that Lewie was an only child, as goats are known to have as many as five kids at a time. We are watching another mama who is about to bust any day.

What else is shaking

This colder weather has me in binge mode lately. I just finished Fool me Once and The Tailor on Netflix. LOVED both of them and highly recommend.

I just received this replacement cover for my IKEA Ektrop sectional. Love the color ( dark gray), quality and price point.

The acoustic panels I am using in my son’s computer space. Great if you want to diffuse sounds.

The best leggings (with tummy control…even if you don’t need it) hands down!

That’s all I got for now. I am spending some time this afternoon getting the animals all ready for the colder temps ( in the teens) we are expecting this week.
