Weekend Hangout Duke Manor Farm #22

Randomness around Duke Manor Farm including surprise party, catching a beautiful sunrise and the most magical rainbow ever in this weeks weekend hangout!

Happy Weekend! My kids were on Fall break this week so I got nothing done around the house. Instead, we surprised my mom for her birthday and drove down to South Florida. Surprise was executed perfectly which made the 9 1/2 hour drive that much sweeter.

Although we were only there for a few days we tried to pack as much in, including snorkeling, top golf and family dinners. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best. I think we had one pretty day out of three but I ran across the street in my jammies to capture (or at least try) to catch the sunrise. How can you spot a tourist without saying you are a tourist? 🙂

On the way home we witnessed the most magical rainbows, after rainbows. Double and single rainbows popping up all around us as we drove on the turnpike. I have never seen anything like it before. The colors were so vibrant and clear. My picture really doesn’t accurately depict how beautiful it all was.

Other Randomness in the Weekend Hangout

• I am going for a similar look on my Fall porch this season. Why reinvent the wheel if you really love plaid pillows?

• Fishing season has begun which means hubby assisted projects will not be happening for a few months. So instead, I have decided to refresh the game room area which I can tackle myself. Not exactly sure what that means yet except I want to repaint the walls.

• Looking for something to watch on Netflix? Expedition Happiness (about a sweet couple that renovate an old bus and travel through the US, Canada and Mexico) and Where Hands Touch ( love story that takes place in WWII) are both excellent ways to spend your time. Let me know what you think.

• For the one and only day we did see the sun while in Florida, I wore this bathing suit that I ordered on Amazon. Super cute with the keyhole on the shoulder. I ordered it in black.

I am going to pick up some mums today ( Tractor Supply has them big and cheap) and get the porch all ready for Fall. Check out my Mum Care 101 to have the best looking mum’s all season.

Well that’s all I got for the week. Gonna enjoy these last few days of break with the kids. Be back at it next week.
