How to make fried peaches the easy way in a skillet with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. A delicious treat especially with a scoop of ice cream!
Our peach trees have been on overload this summer. We have canned, we have froze them, made cobbler, dehydrated them, given them away. Almost everything you could do with a peach we have done…and loved.
Something that we recently discovered was how to make fried peaches. Apparently, I have been living under a rock and had never had such peach deliciousness. Have you?

How to fry peaches
Step One – Cut your peach. Using a sharp knife, cut your peach in half.. Cooking time will be less if you are using ripe or tender peaches. They work best.
Step Two – Heat your skillet/frying pan. Drop 1 tbsp of butter in your pan and heat at medium temperature
Step Three -Place peaches in the pan. Place peaches in a frying pan with the pit side up first. Place 1/2 teaspoon of butter on each peach.
Step four – Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon . When the butter has softened (not melted), sprinkle 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon on each peach.
Step five – Flip peaches. After 7-10 minutes, flip the peach over.
Step six – Reduce heat and let peach caramelize. Reduce the heat for a few minutes until the sugar and cinnamon of the peach are caramelized and cook for additional 3-5 mins or until soft.
Step seven – Remove from pan and let cool. Remove the peaches from the frying pan/skillet and let cool before eating.
Although your can eat these delicious fried peaches as they are, try a scoop of ice cream on top when the peaches are warm. So good!

Yum! Haven’t tried frying them yet but I will for sure. We like to slice the peaches into thin slices and use a pineapple upside down recipe to make peach upside down cake. Also great if peeled, sliced thin and layered on cinnamon roll dough before rolling up and slicing . Hard to beat a fresh GA peach! Thanks for sharing.
Oh I love peaches and wish I had some but will definitely try this when I can afford to, lol. Thank you for your blog.
Making these tonight! Thanks for the recipe!😘
