Cinnamon and Sugar Belgian Waffle Recipe
My Cinnamon and Sugar Belgian Waffle Recipe is a crowd favorite around the breakfast table.
We are not always the most traditional table eaters for meals during the week. We try to make up for that during the weekend when we always eat a big breakfast and dinner together. There is something so comforting and cozy to my family when we can sit around for breakfast on the weekends.
I like to remind myself that it’s not always about what we are eating that is important, but the opportunity to laugh, share and enjoy the closeness we feel when sitting down together. Although we do love our waffles!
Cinnamon and Sugar Belgian Waffle Recipe
As you know, we like to keep meals simple and easy around Duke Manor Farm. Of course, most things have to be family approved and not get too boring. Often I’ll take our favorites and change them up just a bit.
One favorite around our breakfast table is my cinnamon and sugar Belgian waffle recipe. I think you will love it as much as my family does.
How to make Cinnamon and Sugar Belgian waffles
Ingredients
- Waffle Mix. This is the mix I always use. Our waffles and pancakes always turn out so fluffy.
- Cooking Spray
- Cinnamon
- Sugar in The Raw- This will give the waffles a slightly sweet crunch. I also use raw sugar when making my southern sweet tea recipe which you can find here.
- Waffle maker
Directions
- Prepare your waffle mix as directed on the package.
- Coat your waffle maker with cooking spray (this will help not burn your raw sugar when cooking)
- Pour the waffle mixture into the waffle maker
- Sprinkle cinnamon over the top of the waffle followed by a coating of raw sugar
- Close your waffle maker until the waffle is finished. The green light will indicate when the waffle is ready.
Of course, no waffle is complete without a gob of melted butter and syrup. Who’s ready for some waffles?

THAT must smell amazing! I can just imagine all of the yummy smells and all the laughter filling your beautiful home while everyone waits for this delicious treat! Sounds like the perfect way to start the weekend!
Laura, hope you and your family have a nice weekend while making memories and sharing those wonderful waffles around your breakfast table! They look so yummy! We will be making waffles this weekend! Thanks for the wonderful recipe, Laura! Blessings!
I can’t remember the last time I had a waffle but these sound really good. My mom was a huge Belgian waffle fan and would’ve like pecans on these. I was thinking peaches might be good, too! Enjoy your holiday weekend, Laura!
These look heavenly! I really should break out our waffle maker. I’m sad to say we haven’t used it since we’ve moved in which is such a shame. You’ve inspired me to dig it out and get cookin! I can’t wait to try your recipe, Laura!
I bet your home smelled awesome. I mentioned on Instagram I’m a French toast eater. Try with plain panettone. I put allspice and vanilla extract in the eggs before dipping. I make cinnamon syryp.
Have a super day
Cindy
I totally agree that having a slow and delicious breakfast with the family is the most comforting way to spend a morning. Your waffles look amazingly delicious. I’m sitting here thinking we need a waffle iron. Our son’s, especially the youngest, would love waffles most mornings.
