Weekly Hangout at Duke Manor Farm Vol 6
Happy Weekend! Welcome to another weekly hangout at Duke Manor Farm. So glad you stopped by. School is out and summer break has officially started around here. The last couple of weeks has been crazy as we close the chapter for my middle schoolers and high school sophomore.
Speaking of which, don’t mind me, just sitting in a corner sobbing. My babies just had their 8th grade formal and are headed to high school.
Pigtails one day, a beautiful young lady the next.

Beginners guide to laying Zoysia sod
We will thoroughly enjoy the pool this summer with some new ‘friends’. My hubby surprised me with a 23 flamingo for every year we were married. I always knew he was a romantic! For Mother’s Day, the kids got me the giant swan which I hope to hang out with this weekend. The temperatures in northeast Georgia have been in the 90’s this week!
Worth checking out
Seriously?? No thank you, I will use bubbles instead.
Okay, these are just the cutest and perfect for the next time I entertain.
This teacher’s gift idea get’s an A!
I thought this was interesting because it has the same characteristics as my home today, especially hanging at the kitchen island.
Around the property
I also got a few hydrangeas for Mother’s Day. I planted them out back by the pond. As much as I love hydrangea’s my only other plant doesn’t do that great. Hoping I have better luck with these. I am using these tips. This variety is called Bloom Struck.
Speaking of the backyard pond, my roses are doing so well this year. I will deadhead the spent blooms and await round 2 shortly. Be sure to check out more of my garden and garden tips
Weekend project idea
This project is an oldie but goodie. DO NOT throw away your old, worn-out outdoor furniture until check it out.
Trying to get my summer groove thing going here on the blog …but it may hard. In the meantime don’t forget to follow me here and here for all the latest.
Cheers to summer!
Grateful
