Cozy Living Tips to embrace in 2022

A new year means new simple and achievable ways to create and embrace a cozy living home in 2022. Tips that you can implement starting today.

Happy New Year sweet friends! It’s the first day of 2022 and I don’t know about you but I am super excited to usher in a new year. How about you? It’s also the first Saturday of the month and time for Cozy Living Ideas. You can see all the links at the end of the post. I feel like my house and the occupants of it are fairly predictable when it comes to cozy living tips. We know what we like and what we don’t like when it comes to making a cozy home. Besides, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I thought I would share some of the ways I embrace cozy living in my home, year after year.

Do what makes your house liveable and cozy

If you follow Duke Manor Farm regularly then you know I am no stranger to flipping rooms within my home that help create more function and make more sense for my family. The room below used to be my family room when we first designed and built our home. A few years later we decided to take our unused Dining room and turn it into a piano room and move the Dining room into this space. We put out current family room  through those open-door casings to what used to be a seasonal porch. Got all that? The point is to do what makes sense for your family…in your home so that it is a liveable and cozy space for all.

Add some plants inside your home

I love having fresh plants and flowers in the house year round, especially this time of the year when everything outside looks so brown and wintery. Whether it’s bringing some of the outdoor plants from the patio inside during these winter months or buying a few new plants, having plants inside your home is so good for your home’s air quality. Time to clean and declutter

No time like the present to clear out and declutter. Having a clutter-free home helps reduce my stress level so it’s a lifestyle that I always follow. Completely emptied them, purged things that I haven’t worn in quite some time, and gave it a good cleaning. I’ll be sharing all the details in a later post.
