How to make Sugar Cookie Cups
How to make Sugar Cookie Cups with just a few ingredients and 15 mins from start to finish. They are delish and will definitely be a crowd-pleaser at any event.
I recently treated my monthly Bunco group with Sugar Cookie Cups. I think they were a hit…there were none left when the night was over. Not only were they a delicious treat but they were super simple to make and assemble in about 15 mins out the door.
Since it was a Halloween bunco I decided to decorate the sugar cookie cups accordingly with black and white sprinkles and candy corn.
What you need
Sugar cookie mix and ingredients on the package (butter, water, and egg)…or you can make your own from scratch
Vanilla whipped frosting
Cupcake liners and cooking tray
Sprinkles or any other topping you would like * this is optional
What you Do
- Prepare the sugar cookies as directed on the package
- Roll the cookies in a ball in a cupcake liner
- Bake for 10 mins
- When the cookies come out of the oven, and while they are hot, use a rounded spoon to create a well in the center of the cookie
- Let cookies cool for a few mins
- Add frosting to the center of the cookie cups
- Add the sprinkles or other toppings on top of the cookie cup
I put my sugar cookie cups on a cake plate and added some candy corn for a festive Halloween treat. You can basically use any cookie flavor and center. Using sugar cookies and vanilla frosting gives all kinds of possibilities for the holidays.
In case you are wondering I went to Halloween Bunco as a cool hippie chick. However, I was not as cool as my cookie cups. I got the groovy costume here.
I hope this sugar cookie cup idea inspires you to make your own yummy treat. If you need more quick treat ideas for Halloween, check out this post.
