Home for the Holidays at Duke Manor Farm
Home for the Holidays at Duke Manor Farm sharing how I created a festive and cozy home filled with all the things we love during the holiday season.
Welcome to my home for the holiday tour at Duke Manor Farm. Since I began blogging in 2011, this time of the year is by far my most favorite time to be creating, sharing, and visiting other holiday homes. I hope you are equally inspired by the 30 other bloggers that have joined me for a full week of holiday home tours. The full lineup and all the links are included below. A special thanks to Marty from A Stroll Thru Life who has hosted this event for several years.
If you just left another Georiga gal Heather at Southern State of Mind , welcome to Duke Manor Farm! I am a big fan of Heather’s Front Porch Coffee talk. If you are new to Duke Manor Farm, you can catch up on my real-life funny farm here. Home for the Holidays at Duke Manor Farm
Although my style tends to be lean on the minimal side, I always do my best to create a home that is cozy and festive for my family. Years ago I went through a major purge and reorg of my holiday decor so now I work with items that I love and want to share during the holiday season. The downstairs den got a new tree this year since I donated the previous one….and truth be told it was a beast to store and to set up.
I love how anything goes when it comes to color in this space so I added green, blush and silver to the tree and to the decor. You can see when I infused blush on our main level tree a few seasons ago here. It was the first time I used another color besides red on our Christmas Tree. I loved it…. my kids not so much. You would have thought I canceled Christmas on them. You can read the whole story here on how I learned my lesson that year….and redecorated the tree!
tree/ tree ring ( it comes red so I spray painted it silver)
I feel like Christmas really showed up in July when I got my new Raintree waterproof hardwood floors from Twenty & Oak. 6 months later and these gorgeous floors still get me every.single.time. You can see the full project from installation to reveal here.
Screen Porch
Although it’s a bit too chilly these days to sit on the screen porch, I did add some festive touches to one of our favorite places to sit when outside. I usually use the small tree in our guesthouse when we have visitors for the holidays, but since nobody is coming this year ( insert boo face) I decided to put it up in here for an extra dose of holiday joy. I found these steal of a deal plaid pillows ( as in $10 each) on amazon to complement the plaid throw (HomeGoods) that I used last year here when I did plaid in our family room and kitchen area.
I decided to hang this metal vintage Coca-Cola sign that is usually in other places outside to give the walls a splash of color.
Front Porch
I went for a more relaxed wintery vibe on the front porch, mainly so I can keep everything out till Spring. The look tends to stay somewhat consistent out on the front porch, as you can see from one of my favorite porch looks a couple of years ago here. These buffalo check pillows that I bought a couple of years ago ( another great deal) look amazing when paired with any color. I loved it when I paired the buffalo check with plum one year that you can see here.
More decorated spaces from Duke Manor Farm
I shared other spaces of Duke Manor here in my Pops of Color tour last week. Here’s some of what you missed in case you didn’t see it.
I hope I have brought some extra joy into your day today as you toured my home. My hope is that you and the people that you love have the happiest of holidays this year. Next up on the tour is a visit to Kristin’s beautiful cabin at White Arrows Home. It’s magical!
See…..I told you!
Merry Christmas

I am obsessed with the color palette you went with in your den. Your home is so incredibly gorgeous. Laura.
Duke Manor Farm has never looked so good! I love this year’s Christmas decorations and really enjoyed your post.

Laura, your home just shines! It’s so beautiful and so full of joy. Merry Christmas to your sweet family.
Wow, what a gorgeous home! I absolutely love the blush tones you added in your den and everything throughout is just beautiful! Merry Christmas!
Laura what a gorgeous tour! I adore your mantel with all the nutcrackers. So happy to be on tour with you!
I love your home, it is always such a treat to see each seasons decor. The blush tone in the den is a favorite and then I love the red in the sunroom. Your home looks good with any color accent. I am always awed at the outside of your home. This year the house all lit up is stunning. Thanks so much for joining the tour again this year, it is gorgeous.
Beautiful, Laura. I love the forest green velvet pillows on the porch, as well as the previous plum you chose to go with the buffalo check.
Laura, you seriously outdid yourself this year! I don’t think I’ve ever seen the downstairs den, and it’s just perfect. I love the wallpaper (and the blush pink ;). So many other areas jumped out at me, but that picture in your kitchen with the bows and garland on the range hood is probably my favorite. Enjoy the holidays with your family! XO
Laura, I love the downstairs den with the blush pink and silver palette. I still remember that year that you decorated with lots of pink, it’s funny how the kids always want RED! 😀
Every time I tour Duke Manor Farm, I expect to see the front porch. 😍 I’m glad you included it. Love those evening shots!
Now I have to go and check the other rooms!
Laura,
Your home is such a stunning sanctuary from the world! I love all the fun colors and that cozy TV room!!! I’ve been cleaning out our holiday decor. I’m wanting less and less these days. Plan to purge more after this Christmas. Maybe I need you to come to do it! LOL!
