Selecting the Right Flooring Retailer
Selecting the Right Flooring Retailer when you make a decision to get new flooring doesn’t have to be a daunting task using the Twenty and Oak Website.
*This blog post was sponsored by Twenty & Oak. All opinions and ideas are 100% mine.
I am getting ready to replace my 17-year-old flooring in my den and kids bedrooms. My experience using Twenty & Oak’s website to be inspired with new flooring selections was amazing. I received my 6 samples of Raintree’s waterproof hardwood flooring a couple of days of ordering using the on-line tool here. Don’t forget to use code ‘DUKE’ to receive 6 free samples. Twenty & Oak has a network of flooring retailers throughout the Southeast in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and Washington DC.
The samples
For my flooring project, I selected Raintree’s waterproof hardwood. The flooring is a combination of real hardwood veneer with a 100% waterproof rigid core. Raintree is a revolutionary new hybrid flooring that blends functionality and style together. Two requirements that check my boxes.
You can find Raintree’s products on the website here as well as onFacebook /Instagram/Pinterest
Benefits of Raintrees waterproof hardwood
Once I got my Raintree samples from Twenty& Oak, I spent a couple of days just laying them all down in the rooms throughout the day. I wanted to make sure that all my needs for the flooring were a fit for my spaces. There were several reasons I knew Raintree was for me. Most importantly is that it is 100% waterproof wood flooring, kid and pet-friendly. Got kids, got pets! Since we also have a pool with kids that don’t always dry off before they come in, Raintree’s waterproof hardwood was a perfect solution for my flooring needs, in addition to all of the beautiful options that I could select from. Since my current flooring situation also has multiple things going on (different carpet colors in some rooms and tile) it was important for continuity and to select one finish that I could use in all of the spaces.
Raintree samples I ordered:
Narrowing down my choices
After a few days, I was able to narrow down my choice to two of the samples. Although I liked them all and could easily have picked any one of the six, my top choices were Raintree’s Aspen Estate Crevasse and First Flurry. Both shades are wire brushed and have a matte finish, but look totally different! So after a few more days, I made an appointment to see larger samples in the showroom at Albright’s. It’s important to remember that what may look one way online, can look totally different in the retail showroom. What it looks like in the retail showroom under the lights, may look different with the lighting of your own home. Be sure to view in all the rooms where it will be installed in both the day and night. Also, ask the retailer to bring a big sample board home.
For people who aren’t able to leave their homes, Twenty & Oak has a virtual showroom where you can shop for your flooring from the comforts of home. Floor samples are shipped on time and CDC regulations are being observed for any items shipped to customers’ homes. For people ready to make in-store visits, reach out to your preferred dealer in advance. My retailer, Albright’s is accepting appointments, respected social distancing, and providing hand sanitizer for all their customers and employees.
Visiting my Flooring Dealer……Albrights Flooring
Although Twenty& Oak offers flooring samples online, they do not sell flooring products. That’s where a knowledgeable and professional flooring dealer comes into the picture. Although I love a good DIY, I wanted to leave the installation to an expert. Since flooring is a huge investment and decision, it is worth your time and money to go to flooring professionals. The Twenty & Oak website referred me to Albright’s Flooring in Loganville, Georiga and I can’t say enough about my experience with them….AMAZING! I love that I was referred to a knowledgable and trusted floor retailer just by inputting my zip code on the Twenty and Oak website.
I took my top two choices into Albright’s showroom and met with an incredible flooring expert. Not only was the showroom beautiful, but the staff was so kind and knowledgeable. Thanks to Jessica, I know the benefits of Raintree’s waterproof flooring, how it’s made, the maintenance, and the installation process. We also sat down with the bigger sample boards of my selections with my paint colors to see how they would look. I had a winner before I left the showroom!
Raintree’s Aspen Estate Crevasse for the win!
Now it’s time for installation. Albright’s Flooring is showing up next week and I can.not.wait!
Remember Twenty& Oak is offering 6 free floor samples just for Duke Manor Farm readers here. Just enter ‘DUKE’ at checkout. If a retailer is not in your area you can still take the quiz.
