Put these plants in your summer garden
Put these plants in your summer garden for many years of happy colorful returns….without a lot of fuss even in the hot summers.
It’s taken several years of trial and error, but I think I finally figured what works in my summer garden. I am talking about plants that require little maintenance over the summer months. Since heat is no joke in Georgia during the summer, I needed to find plants that wouldn’t be a victim in my landscape and not survive the summer months due to heat due and lack of water. Meanwhile, my orange daylilies are showing no sign of slowing down.
In addition to the trusted Day lily, I’m sharing a few more plants and blooms here that are on repeat around Duke Manor Farm. Their beautiful color are showstoppers. Best part, I don’t have to do a thing to them except for an occasional drink when they are thirsty.
Friday’s can only mean two things, it’s almost the weekend and its time for another installment of Home & Decor Encore. My pals and I share ideas and projects from the past in hopes to inspire you. This week it’s all about summer from gardening to snacks, to DIY projects.
Those orange day lilies are gorgeous, and I love that chair planter. Have a wonderful weekend. xo Laura
