Baked s’more chocolate chip cookie treat
Baked s’more chocolate chip cookie treat is a delectable, gooey treat that is easy enough for the kids to make.
Baked Smore Chocolate Chip Cookies
I decided to throw a little Home Economics into the kids homeschool agenda the other day. That was one of my favorite classes when I was in school. We learned how to cook, sew and manage money all before graduation. I think it’s one area that all kids can have more exposure to, don’t you? Anyhoo, back to the main point….Baked s’more chocolate chip cookie treat.
Although I can’t take full credit for this idea ( thank you TikTok) I am letting my kids find recipes that they want to try. If you like traditional s’mores and chocolate chip cookies, then this treat is for you. It is super easy to make and for the kids to participate, after all they are the students.
How to make baked smore chocolate chip cookie treat
Here’s what you need
- Marshmallows
- Graham Crackers
- Hershey bars
- Chocolate Chip cookie dough
Here’s what you do
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Layer 1/2 size crackers on a non stick cookie sheet
- Put a 1/4 piece of chocolate on top of each cracker
- Place a marshmallow on top of each piece of chocolate ( I used jumbo marshmallows and got them in half)
- Place a quarter size piece of chocolate chip cookie dough on each square. I used cookie mix this time, but you could also make your own if you are feeling ambitious. See my go to homemade recipe here.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes ( follow your chocolate chip cookie recipe for exact times)
Although these cookies are messy the kids did enjoy them. I will say that it’s better to eat them while they are still warm and fresh. We ended up tossing a few extras the next day, therefore you may want to cook only what you think you are going to eat.
If you make these let me know what you think and if you have more than one….I won’t tell.
The picture shows cinnamon graham crackers. Is that what you used?
