All The Fall Feels Front Porch
Welcome to this months Cozy Living Series…..All the Fall Feels on the Front Porch. You can catch up here on my entire Cozy Living Series. This month I am sharing all the fall feels on the front porch. Ways to create and enjoy a happy and comfortable space this fall in your outdoor area. As always, a special thanks to Jennifer from Town and County Living who coordinates this fun event each month. You will find more links at the end of this post full of beautiful inspiration and ideas.
When it comes to seasonal decor changes the front porch is the very first place that I start with. This year I didn’t go all gang busters to get the porch looking it’s fall best. In all honesty, I never do. The calmer and simpler the porch is, the happier it makes me. I start with a color or pillow and the rest just seems to fall ( no pun intended) into place.
I wanted to share a few things pictures of the porch and the simple and subtle changes that I made this Fall season.
Start with a color
This year I found these plaid pillows at Home Goods and built the design around that. Since the pillows stay outside for a few months I always like to spray them with scotch guard to protect them from any of the weather elements and from my dirty dogs that always like to get cozy on the porch.
Decorating Tip: Use green wreaths throughout the year and add seasonal pops of color.
Fall Mums
Did you catch my One Thing to keep your mums alive each season here?
So many pumpkin choices
This is the first year that I have used something other than a traditional round orange pumpkin on my front steps. I love the possibilities with all the different varieties that are out there. This year I added some grasses that I placed in baskets along with some rattan pumpkins for added texture and visual interest. If you are still pumpkin-less, I shared tips for picking the perfect pumpkin here along with all the different selections.
I hope you are enjoying whatever space you have created for yourself this Fall season and that it makes you happy.

Love, love, love your porch and the orange is perfect.
I’ve got some major porch envy! I love all of the fall color and I’m pretty sure I’d live in those rocking chairs if I had them. Beautifully styled Laura!
Thanks so much!
Just so pretty, Laura! Love the choice of your lovely plaid pillows! They just add the “finishing” touch to your porch. Your mums are so pretty, too!
We have snow now so have taken down all our Fall décor and are adding the pine to all our planters on our porch now that our Thanksgiving is over. I plan on doing some Christmas décor in our home next week! Love the Christmas season and like to enjoy it as long as we can!
Have a great weekend with your family.
thank you mary-ann. as a blogger/influencer trying to wait as long as I can before I start decorating….but im getting anxious. have a great week!
Thanks for the mum tip, I had no idea that would make such a difference. I didn’t even get to photography mine this year. We had an early frost and now snow so they sure didn’t last long. Your colors are just beautiful and I agree the pumpkin selection now is just stunning.

I also have major porch envy. My mums have died and one of my pumpkins rotten from the inside out. This looks so pretty!
