My kids have been out of school for 3 weeks now and so far, so good, so chill. It’s taken 3 weeks to get in a summer pattern of sleeping in and eating everything in the pantry. Ahh….isn’t that what summer break is all about 🙂

KISS Tour next week

Next week I am sharing my 2019 Summer Home Tour. I am calling it KISS Tour. Keep It Simple Summer Tour. This year is a first. I didn’t go all out gang busters, what you see is what you’ll get. I left the house alone and didn’t drag out my camera. I shot everything on my iphone. I hope you will stop back by to to take the tour. You can see last years tour here.

My favorite summer pillows on Sale!

I wanted to let you know that several pillows in my home ( and on my summer home tour) are on major sale right now. I’ll share all the links ( affiliate)  to make it easy to find but all the pillows are from Pottery Barn.

Since my foot surgery, get the details here I have been trying to find shoes for the summer that would help with any pain or discomfort that I still have.  I am generally not a croc gal but THESE shoes are amazing! You feel like you are walking on air ( although I never have) and they offer all the support that your foot needs. I have them in the black/gray  but just ordered the navy/white combo. 

I shared this pic over on my Instagram page but these kitty’s are too cute not to share here. Would love for you to follow me there if you are not already. They are reaching the four week mark and walking, playing and beginning to eat. We have a kitty check and an appt for mama in a couple of weeks. 

Screen porch two years later

Pretend you are surprised when you see this room on my KISS Home Tour next week. It’s been 2 years since we created this space ( it was just an open patio area) and still is one of my favorite spots in the house to chill in. You can catch up on the before, the build and the after so you can see why we really appreciate this space. I just ordered these outdoor curtains to help keep some of the weather elements out. Talk about a deal. Two panels, 108 inches long for less than $30.00. I am waiting on my Hubby to hang the rods for me.

My latest design job

I have one big design job this summer….my sisters lake house. A few weeks ago I went up to Tennessee to share color choices for their exterior logs and all the trim.  Generally my sister is not a risk taker and stays in the safe lane when it comes to color choices. Thankfully she choose one of the six options that I brought up with me since I find choosing exterior paint colors more daunting then anything else when it comes to design. I’m sure it has something to do with the cost and commitment?  I’ll share more about this project in a later post.

We are in for some very needed rain over the next few days….so I guess it’s time to clean the house.
