Monday Morning Catch up With Duke Manor Farm
Monday Morning Catch up With Duke Manor Farm
My kids are on Spring Break this week and we are doing a stay cation since a trip didn’t work out with my hubby’s work schedule. Each day one kid gets to pick what special thing they would like to do. I broke the news to them and told them playing video games doesn’t count as an option.
New Footwear
Since my foot surgery in February I have ditched the Converse Chucks for some other cute sneakers. I don’t know if the converse were to blame or not. My doctor said I am not doing my foot any favors. Soon enough I will trade in the shoes for flip flops. Until then these keep my foot comfortable and offer more support. Here’s what I picked up to wear
Duckling Progress
Would you look at how big the ducklings are! Since the weather is warmer, and they are big enough, we have moved them outside to an area in the coop. I was telling someone the other day that the ducks are a lot like my kids….loud, messy and they grow up way to fast.
My precious farmgirl
My sweet Lily’s dream is to hatch her own chicks so I bought her this egg incubator the other day. If all goes well, sometime around Easter we could have our very own chicks hatched from Duke Manor Farm. I’ll keep you posted.
Bathroom update
I hope to have a finished bathroom reveal this week. I wanted to show you a last minute decision that I made regarding the counter top. The guy from the stone place brought me a piece of quartz on Friday. Initially I was going to do wood, but didn’t want to fuss with the maintenance. I love it . If you missed my plans and prograss, get all caught up here.
Memory Share
This popped up in my memories on social media and was too good not to share. Best trip EVER. I went to Rome, Germany and Paris for my 50th birthday with my mom and twin sister. I realize I never posted anything about the trip…….one day I’ll share more of this amazing trip.
Things may be a bit quiet on the blog this week. I may be popping in on social media here and here so don’t forget to follow me to see what we are up to.
Have a lovely week!
grateful
for memories
Lots to love on this Monday. The ducklings are the cutest ever and love seeing your beautiful Lily!! Happy April!
Those shoes are very cute and stylish and a lot easier to slip on. Keep up the good work. I should only buy one pair of flip flops as that’s all I wear all summer. I’m so lazy and just want to plop my feet on them and go! Still, I love shoes and already started collecting summer sandals.
I know Lily is going to learn a lot with the incubator. And as far as the ducklings, do you have a pond or something? What a great life. If I was a kid I wouldn’t worry about vacays!!
Take care,
Jane.
hi Jane- we do have a pond in the coop area for the ducks. I am a total flip flop gal as well. I need to find one’s that have more support. Hope you have a great week!
Would love to see/hear more about that trip! Love happy memories… enjoy your week! xo Heidi
thanks Heidi!
I loved this post because it was full of great updates! I am so excited for Lily and her new adventure! The bathroom floor looks AWESOME! I dig the shoes!
