3 Thrifty Packaging ideas for Valentines Day that cost a $1.00
3 Thrifty Packaging ideas for Valentines Day that cost a $1.00 from items found at the Dollar Store.
I am big believer that true expressions of love don’t have to be complicated, and either does the packaging it comes in. Am I right? Better late then never as Valentines is tomorrow….but hey, this one is for all you last minute types and certainly ideas you will want to use next year. I am joining my Thrifty Style pals for another installment this month on thrifty ideas and inspiration. All the links will be at the end of this post and ideas that you don’t want to miss….so don’t!
3 Thrifty Packaging ideas for Valentines Day that cost a $1.00
I love to challenge myself and walk into the Dollar Store from time to time and creatively think on how I could do this…or do that, with items that I find. This time I have three ideas for packaging those valentines gifts using three items from the store.
Paper Hearts
Although these sweet paper hearts have more uses than just one, I decided to wrap it around a bottle of bubbly and secure with some ribbon. If I was really giving up this bottle of champagne to my Valentine instead of perhaps drinking it myself, I would include a handwritten note on the heart. Cheers!
Brown Lunch Bags
I love this idea for many occasions besides just Valentines Day. Insert your items in the bag, fold the top, hole punch and use some twine or ribbon to secure the top. I added a valentine sticker and used red/white twine to go nicely with the holiday. A classic example of a simple and easy way to share a gift or treat with a loved one.
Gift Boxes
How cute are these boxes? Yup….a dollar. Since most of the work was done for me with the cuteness of the boxes, all I needed to do was fill them with sweets, treats or whatever makes your valentine happy. In this case I filled one with Hershey Kisses and the other with Kit Kats for the kids teachers. You can also fill them with other small items.
Even those these are only 3 small sweet gestures, the options are endless in expressing your love to your Valentine. You could also save yourself a few bucks at the Dollar Store and just tell someone you love them or how special they are to you….. that gesture is sure to go a lot further, although I love me some good chocolate.
