Holiday Front Porch using blue and green and 18 festive holiday porches to tour

Holiday Front Porch using blue and green
Start with the inspiration
My inspiration for the front porch this year was centered around some pretty plaid ribbon. I used the same ribbon in my kitchen and eating area here. The ribbon, my gray seat cushions along with some navy and green pillows seemed like the perfect combination to greet my visitors through the holiday and into the winter season.
Mix old with new
Other then some new plaid pillows, all the other pillows and throws are one’s that I already had. The black pillow with the deer was used on last years holiday porch here. Sadly, my dogs think they are still puppies and would have a ball if I left a fur pillow and chunky knit throw outside day and night….so I don’t. Besides with frigid temps we won’t be sitting out here much. The gray cushions, which are really Euro covers from Ikea , stay out and get washed as needed.
I put some small faux trees into the pots that are usually by the front doors. I have used these trees for several years , inside and outside. You saw them last year during the holidays here. A small little tree from the tree lot will stay out here comfortably throughout the winter season. Perhaps we will plant it on the property and start our own tree farm.
For something extra during the holidays I filled some lanterns with coordinating glass balls. Hopefully my dogs won’t figure that one out. I got the lanterns last year from here.
I hope my holiday porch inspired you in some way as you start or finish your own porch or patio area.
Happy Holidays!

Your front porch is so invited and is decorated beautifully for the Christmas season. I love the plaid ribbon you used and it coordinates beautifully with your gray porch cushions. Adding the pine trees to the porch makes it look look extra cozy along with the pillows and throws. I am looking forward to seeing all of your Christmas decor this holiday season!
Your porch is stunning and cozy as ever, Laura. And I could totally see you starting your own tree farm. There’s no end to your energy and creativity! Can’t wait to cut down my tree at Duke Manor Farm. Will you be growing artificial, prelit trees? š So happy to have you in the porch tour this year.
Your porch is always one of the ones I can’t wait to see! Love what you did with it this year. The touches of blue are so pretty!
Love, love, love that plaid ribbon on your wreath! Your porch is cozy and classy at the same time, and I can totally see you growing some Christmas trees on your property! We have planted a few of the small trees that I have decorated with in years past, and you should see how large they are now. I should do a post about that! He! He!
Laura, your porch is so classic and pretty. It’s so nice and welcoming! I love the little trees and your black, navy, and green accents.
I love your plaids, and those little white deer are just darling! Excited to be joining you on the tour! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
