I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving. It was quite around Duke Manor Farm and we enjoyed the day hanging out and hosting some friends for dinner later that day. I wasted no time getting most of the holiday decorating started over the weekend. I actually started the mantel a day before Thanksgiving, as that usually creates the vibe for the rest of the house. How did you spend Thanksgiving?

I will be putting the finishing touches on everything today since I have  my first Holiday Home Tour this week ( Tuesday). This year I went with a laid back approach using  all traditional colors and decorations I have used over the years.  I wanted to share some Holiday Decor Ideas and a Peek at my house this year….just act surprised when you see it on Tuesday.

This year I challenged myself to use what I have….and things that I loved using over the years. I bought one new thing that I will share on Tuesday. Not buying new items was a bit hard but didn’t make sense to buy new stuff when I purged a bunch last year. Remind me to tell you how easy it was to get all the holiday decorating bins out of the attic this year.

So while I finish up the decorating around here, I wanted to share a few spaces from years past. Perhaps it will give you some ideas and inspiration for your own holiday decorating this year.
