How to make a Fall wreath appear fuller
For the past several years I have always make the fall wreath for the front entrance. I love me a good ole wreath to greet my guests when they come to the front door. This year I decided to to do both. Make one and buy one and put it together.
How to make a Fall wreath appear fuller
Since I love to decorate around my doors sometimes, often I hang a wreath in the open spot right beside them. Since this is a bigger area for a wreath then a normal door would have, I have a trick that makes a single wreath look larger on top of a grapevine wreath base.
Wreath trick….stack multiple wreaths together
I have used this trick for many years here and here and have always loved the result. Basically I take two grapevine wreaths , 1 smaller then the other and stack them securing together with brown floral wire. The tighter you can wrap your wire, the more your wreath base will look like it’s one.
I then place another wreath on top to finish it off. This year I picked up this orange pod-like wreath from Home Goods for less then $20.00. Using the grapevine base gives you a ton of options on what you can do with just one smaller wreath, saving you some money. Have you seen the prices of wreaths this size $$$ ?
I’ll be back later this week to share the entire front porch and some other tips to create a cozy and welcoming spot….that even the dog will love.
Hope you are enjoying the fall season on your own porch! It has finally cooled down enough in Northeast Georgia to shut the air conditioner off, open the windows and to start feeling some fall temperatures. Don’t forget to take my fall tour here.
grateful
for a cozy peaceful spot
Your wreath is beautiful and so festive looking! adding two grapevine wreaths to make the wreath larger for a bigger door is genius! Autumn is my favorite season and I love everything about it.
