All things Outdoor Entertaining….Summer Edition
I realize the start of summer solstice is June 21st, but now that the kids are out of school we pretty much call it summer around here. For the next couple of months we will spend the majority of our time outside doing all the things that we love to do. One thing on the list is entertaining. I have gathered up some of my favorite tips and ideas so that you are ready to entertain this summer with me.
All things Outdoor Entertaining….Summer Edition
Set a pretty table
Whether it’s just a couple of friends or a house full, I love to set a pretty summer table. The key is simplicity and using items you have like adding a fun wrapping paper as a runner. I also love to use fresh blooms from my garden anytime I can. Get a few of my tips on how to set the nearly perfect summer dinner table here.
Whip up a fabulous cocktail
Speaking of garden, I love growing watermelons so I can whip some of these cocktails over the summer. These are so refreshing to sip on when entertaining outside. Whether you grow your own watermelons like me or buy them from the store, doesn’t matter. You should really make these. I have two versions with and without alcohol. Get the details here
If a watermelon cocktail isn’t your thing, then how about some sweet tea. My best sweet tea recipe here.
Get your outdoor space ready
Simple ways here to get your outdoor spaces ready for entertaining that are easy and carefree. Remember, it’s all about not fussing and spending a lot of time getting ready for your guests. You have better things to do this summer!
What’s for dinner?
Last but not least, something to eat. We have been using this crock pot barbecue chicken recipe forever. It’s a perfect alternative to grilling it outside and your guests will love it.
Here’s to a wonderful season of entertaining….summer or not.
