3 Last minute Cinco de Mayo ideas
3 Last minute Cinco de Mayo ideas
When we hear Cinco de Mayo most ( including me) would think celebrating with a good ole margarita with some chips and salsa. Although it sounds like the perfect plan to celebrate, Cinco de Mayo is much more then that.
In a nut shell, Mexico had trouble paying back some of it’s debt to European countries. On May 5, 1862 France came to collect. The Mexican army prevailed and the recognition of that win was created. The yearly event was called Cinco de Mayo. So there you go….. now you know.
3 Last minute Cinco de Mayo ideas
Although I will not be going out on May 5th to raise my glass to Mexico, I will be chilling on my back patio instead….celebrating. In case you want to follow my lead, I have rounded up 3 last minute Cinco de Mayo ideas.

How cute is this succulent center piece idea! It’s so easy. I love this idea because you can change out your sand colors throughout the summer!
No margarita would be the quite the same without some chips and dip. Am I right? You can find my favorite salsa and guacamole recipe here.
These ideas are not just for Cinco de Mayo, they would all be perfect for your Spring or Summer entertaining.
Cheers!
Love the succulent center piece. So cute

Hello ~
I’ve been following you for a very long time and love and appreciate your idea’s, talent and insightful idea’s. You rank, at least in my book, one of the top 5 to follow.
Having said that and although this is some-thing I generally do not do, I feel it is necessary to say… The word “AND” is a noun and conjunctive word, intended to continue a sentence or connecting 2 sentences, thoughts or ideas together to make one sentence or thought. Although it may be the “IN” thing to do it is inappropriate and incorrect to use it as the beginning word of a sentence, especially by some one like you whom I assume is highly educated. AND (pun intended, lol ) That is Journalism-101 for the year. As a side note: I feel strongly that it is important that our children are also taught what is and is not correct in art of journalism. ~~ I hope you and your family enjoy the summer! ~ Karen
oh Karen- it is sweet readers like you that keep me on my toes and call me out when needed. I appreciate you taking the time to give me the feedback and will make the correction.
Sorry I did not intend my comment to be posted. I assumed you proof read your posts prior to posting! Shame on me for assuming.
No need it is your right to do as you wish. I was just pointing it out and honestly did not intend it to be posted. PLEASE delete my post.
I will continue to follow your posts no if’s, AND’S or buts. 🙂
