Hot Cocoa and Mug Gift Idea

I love this hot cocoa and mug gift idea that I am using this season. The idea was actually inspired by these cute mugs. I found them for less than a $1.00 at Walmart. If we are talking true numbers….. they set me back .88. At that price, I picked up a few to gift to others and to use around Duke Manor Farm. I will also use this idea for Valentines Day. Total cuteness, right?

This is such an easy idea that you can make in advance and bring with you to holiday parties, office events or bring over to the neighbors to wish them a Merry Christmas. I also like to have a few made up for friends that drop by during the month. #notthehostesswiththemostestbutitry

fillers- chocolate chips, crushed peppermint, butterfingers, small marshmallows etc.

I filled each of the tubes up with a some cocoa and with some fillers. Each filled tube of cocoa is good for 2 cups of cocoa. Or if you love chocolate like me, just one. Another option in the tube is to use evaporated milk, if you like creamier cocoa. Another thing I love about this idea is that it is totally kid friendly. I love to see how my kids want to fill the tubes up….and eat the candy as they go along.

These tubes have a lid that secures tightly so your mix and fillers will stay fresh until the recipient is ready to pour into their mug, add some hot water and enjoy. Depending on how many tubes you place in each mug, you could secure them with some coordinating string or ribbon. Add a tag and they are good to go.
