8 Gift Ideas That Any Teacher Would Love
Have I told you lately how much I love  teachers? Particularly the ones that teach my children. All of them.  They are amazing in every way…and not just for putting up with my kids, which is amazing in itself! And with the holidays knocking on our door, I thought I would share 8 gift ideas that any teacher would love.
Tips to keep in mind when buying gifts for the teacher
When it comes to holiday gifts for the teacher I follow two simple rules. Give them something they can use. Give them something that they will like. I have a lot of teacher pals and one thing is pretty unanimous. Although they are thankful for anything that they receive throughout the school year, they can only use so many coffee mugs….so gift that to someone else this year. Unless it’s filled with hot coffee each morning.
8 Gift Ideas That Any Teacher Would Love
- Gift Cards– Teachers LOVE to receive a gift card as well as shop. The gift card can be to their favorite restaurant, store or even a gas station. Set it for an amount you can afford. You don’t have to go overboard, remember it’s the thought that counts.
- Scarves. This pretty scarf  from here is neutral enough as well as look amazing on your teacher in the upcoming months.  If you have to buy for multiple teachers like I do, this scarf at $12.00 is a perfect option.
- Bring them coffee, tea or lunch. There’s not too many teachers that will say no to a hot morning coffee, tea or a Caramel Frappuccino topped with some whipped cream. Surprising them with lunch from their favorite hangout also is a welcomed treat.
- Tote Bag–  Everyone including a teacher needs a good oversized tote bag. I have this oversize shopper and I love it. I use it for a lot of things. Depending on how much money you want to spend will determine the type of bag that you can get. In the past I have purchased canvas tote bags at a reasonable price, that I will have monogrammed with either the teachers name, initials, favorite word or saying. A teacher can never have to many bags to lug home with stuff from school and personalizing the bag gives it such a special touch.
-  Water bottle– All teachers get thirsty during the day as well as drink water. How about a pretty water bottle like this  or a colorful tumbler like this one.

6. Agenda or Calendar- I have been using a Kate Spade agenda for a few years now, and it’s tradition to get a new one each year because this one works and I love it. Although there are many cute and functional agenda books out there, find one that works within your price range, as well as one that fits the style of your teacher.
7. Note cards- Teachers love to receive as well as write handwritten notes to parents. Depending on your budget there are many to choose from. If you are looking for the perfect class gift, try these matching Kate Spade note cards to go along with the agenda.
8. Candles– This is one of my favorite gifts to give the teachers partly because I LOVE candles. Fortunately for me, not one teacher has complained about receiving an amazing scented candle. My favorite candles are from Bath and Body Works ( I stack up when they are on sale)  and also Voluspa that I buy here. If you want amazing scents as well as a candle that burn down clean, you will not go wrong with either of these candles. They both are amazing candles.
So if you will be gift giving for a special teacher this year, I hope that my 8 Gift Ideas That Any Teacher Would Love will come in handy for you. Most of all, when you are planning your gifts this year, remember it’s not what you buy, or how much you spend. It’s the thought that counts. This is a great lesson for our kids.

All great ideas, Laura! Gift cards and baked goods are my go to. They work so hard for our children! XO
they sure do. don’t know how they do it ….especially with kids like mine!
Although parents mean well, teachers get so many gifts they’ll never use. Unless you know the teacher really well, it’s hard to buy something they want or need. Gift cards for them to use for themselves or to buy stuff for the classroom are always appreciated. I’ve also found that liquid hand soap is a big hit. (I stock up at Bath and Body Works once a year!)
totally agree Marcie. I also think little sweet gestures throughout the year goes a long way too!
Love all of these ideas! Perfect for our hard working teachers 🙂
