Monday Musings at Duke Manor Farm

Happy Day sweet friends! I hope everyone had a good weekend. It was hot and humid around these parts….but that’s summer in Georgia. Unfortunately sitting on the front porch was not on the agenda over the weekend. Instead ……

 we were working like crazy people trying to get the new Chicken Coop completed. We did move the girls in over the weekend and so far so good. We have a few loose ends to tie up, one is to design and build a cupola, and we will finish those throughout the month.

Me and the kids headed up to Tennessee for the 4th to my sisters lake house.  I always feel so calm and relaxed while I am there. You can probably see why. Every spot in the house has an amazing view of the lake. You can see more of the house here.

And finally, after months of waiting for my outdoor buffet table….. it finally showed up the other day and it couldn’t be more perfect with the table that I ordered from here. Since I ordered both pieces at different places, it’s amazing how well they match. You would almost think that it was part of a set.

Things may be a bit quite on the blog over the next few weeks. Kids are heading back to school at the end of the month and we are heading out on our family vacation. I will be sharing here and here when I can, of all the crazy fun we are trying to have…. while we can. I truly don’t want this summer to end.
