My Favorite Thrift Store Makeovers
Today I wanted to share my favorite thrift store makeovers with you. One was with a purpose, one was a gift and one was by chance, but all have been some of my favorite projects that I have ever done.
I am also super excited to be getting together with my monthly decor enthusiast group to share their thrift and vintage finds and how they use them in their decor as well. Links at the end of the post.
I have always appreciated the saying, one man’s junk is another man’s treasure. It’s so true, isn’t it. How many times have you turned someone’s ‘junk’ into your own treasure? Sadly I don’t get to go thrifting or junking very as much as I would like but when I have I always feel like I have come out the winner.
Here are three projects that I loved doing with items that I picked up while thrifting.
Super Simple Cake Plate here. I found two items and turned it into cake plate.
Drab to Fab kitchen table here. When I bought the table, it was a bit tired and neglected. Here is how it looked when I brought it home.
and now looks like this. I am actually using it in the guest house kitchen. I have also used it previously in my keeping room here. ha……the table gets around.
and my most favorite table makeover here that I gifted to my nephew for a housewarming gift… don’t tell him, but I should have kept it.
it looked like this when I bought it for get this….$12.00.
Oh well, time to go find another one to keep for myself!

Something else, and totally unrelated to thrifting that I am excited about is the Nordstrom Anniversary sale….. that starts today. Throughout the next few weeks I will be sharing my favorite things that I have bought at the anniversary sale in the past and will be buying this year. Because of the deals on some of my favorite things, I get a bunch of Christmas presents and birthday presents during this sale with my Nordstrom rewards card which basically is a debit card ( linking to my bank account) where you get special perks from Nordstrom.
Early access starts today if you’re a Nordstrom Card Holder , which basically means you can shop the sale starting TODAY July 14, and for 8 days before the sale opens to the public. The first week of the sale is reserved for Nordstrom’s loyal customers like me…… and you if you have or get the rewards card or credit card.
Friday, July 22. is the day the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public for shopping, in-store and online. This day is similar Black Friday …. but in August and without the crowds if you shop online!!
Sunday, August 7th is the LAST day to shop the sale.
You can always click through my Nordstrom affiliate link ( located in ‘Where Duke Manor Shops’ in sidebar) to make it easy.
Happy Shopping sweet friends!
