Kitchen Fall Mantel
This may sound a bit strange, but we are a house that is pumpkin divided….traditional orange and other. Me and my Kitchen Fall Mantel say other…..
while the other mantel and the rest of the family says traditional orange. To see my fall mantel in the breakfast room you can go here to see how I incorporated the traditional orange….family is happy.
But since today is all about my ‘other’ color that I am using, I couldn’t wait to frame this Autumn print that I got this season, along with 3 pumpkins to sorta replicate the image to use on the kitchen mantel. The only real effort in styling the mantel, was painting one of the plastic pumpkins. I love that kind of effort when it comes to seasonal decorating. By the way, the print on the other mantel is from the same shop.
I love the color combo of blues and neutrals and the simplicity of the print This blue plush pumpkin that I got a few seasons ago, has really been the driving force of inspiration for all my fall decor this year, and besides the blue would really work with the traditional orange that my family is loving as well. Don’t you think?
Now both the mantels, family members and pumpkins are all happy.
When it comes to Fall decor, which camp are you in, traditional or ‘other’ colors?
I am joining up for this months decor challenge to decorate the same space three different ways. I will be back in November and December for other seasonal looks on the kitchen mantel.
Until then, go have a look at what my other challenge pals did with their spaces.

I’m joining you in the “other” camp. We have lots of neutrals and touches of aqua in our home. After seeing your pumpkin print earlier, I ordered one. I haven’t rec’d it yet – can’t wait! May copy your pretty blue/green bottles too. I love the white pumpkins also. To make the orange pumpkin lovers happy, I have used those outside.
i love your colors, laura! that teal is amazing!
It is so simple, but so elegant! Love both of those prints. I’ll be over soon for one of those frosted donuts. 🙂
I love those prints and the pretty pop of turquoise! Gorgeous as always!
Just beautiful Laura. 🙂 The prints are gorgeous!

Your beautiful decor is always a reflection of you and what your family loves. Love your mantel and sweet pumpkins!
I love what you’ve done—–it’s hard to make traditional colors fit in with our decor. You did a great job!
The thumbs up!
