Keeping Room Changes
If you follow me on Instagram here you probably saw that we …..weren’t feeling the navy accents in our family room…….  always thought the leather club chairs were a bit too big for this space….  and my husband was tired of competing with kid shows like Teen Titans and Dog With a Blog.
All perfectly good reasons to end up with this.
It’s hard to believe that this little space that was once designed to accommodate our big ole farm house table, is now a bright cozy nook for two. This is the new Saturday morning ‘date night at home’ destination. Â And look at that light!
Perfect for chats, quiet time, reading and now since my husband is taking up occupancy in my little space, a small tv to catch up on the news when Dog with a blog is on in the family room. I am still working on this wall that also serves as a sudo command center wall. The one condition I had for my husband if he wanted a tv was NO wires hanging, so since the pantry is on the other side of the wall we were able to drill a hole for the wires.
Nothing in the space was new…just moved around. To throw in a bit of fall, I put out some rattan pumpkins and a plum pillow. I really like how the navy and plum work together. I have never used this color combo together before. I am embracing the premise that just about everything works with navy. Don’t you think?
And I think I found a perfect spot for my beautiful sign that I first showed you here. I love walking into this room and seeing this. A question we should all be asking ourselves…like right now.
Perfect space, with the perfect color combo for the season, with my perfect date.
What’s not to love about that!
And for your reading enjoyment this weekend I have included other versions of this space click here, here and how it all started here and a before and after picture of the space when we first moved in. Not gonna lie…. I kinda like what I got going on in the space now.

What a beautiful space! What did you do with the dining room set that was originally there? I would love to recreate this look but not sure I could part with my grandmother’s dining set.
thanks leslie. so when we drew up our plans for the house , this space was suppose able to accomodate our farm house table that is now in my current breakfast room. this table is actually now in my craft room.
Oh my goodness, I love that blue and white chair and hassock!
