House Paint Progress….. and some news
Talk about a transformation.
Here’s right before they started with the 47 color samples on the wall.
I ended up going with a color called Sedate Gray for the exterior, Open air for the porch ceilings and bright white for the trim. Although I now feel very poor, I absolutely love how it looks. They are finishing the back this weekend and hope all will be done Monday.I will fill you in on all the updates and pictures sometime next week.
I also wanted to let you know that after 3 years of blogging I am making some changes to the blog.Â
Soon, I will be changing my blog name to Duke Manor Farm…… seems more appropriate as it is the name of our property. When I first started the blog, I was making lampshades and the Top This Top That name was quirky and cute. But since the lampshade hobby has gone away, the name really doesn’t represent who I am, where I live and what we are are about. Duke Manor Farm does. Look for this name change on my social media platforms as well. Facebook, instagram , and pinterest. I am working through how to do this all and honestly it’s a bit overwhelming, so if you have made these changes in the past and have some recommendations please leave me a comment and let me know.
The other change, I will be moving to another blogging platform.  For non bloggers, I know this doesn’t mean much and it shouldn’t, as it will all be transparent to you with no changes other then my blog name. For my blogger pals….I am ready to finally make the switch.
I am so happy that you are along this journey with me.
Hope you have an amazing weekend. We are spreading mulch. Don’t get jealous. Super exciting I know.

I love your new name and your new paint color. I'm in the midst of the same process with my blog, other than changing my name, but it's exciting to see these changes finally starting to take shape.
Love the color and love the new name! Can't wait to see all the changes!
🙂 Linda

The new color looks amazing. So bright and airy. Love the name change. Good luck with getting things switched over.
Laura – love, love the color transformation and the porch ceiling is dreamy (saw it somewhere else)! I'm actually in the process of the switch myself! Maybe we can help each other because it is totally overwhelming!! Have a great weekend!
Girl, I am on the same page. Finished tweaking the new header last night, changed the facebook business (not the personal) and instagram a few days ago. Not a big change in the focus of the blog, but adding a new market booth and doing a few shows and "Kirb Appeal" didn't really tie in to the furniture biz. (Not going to the Dark Side, though…still on Blogger.) Can't wait to see what you have in store!
Love the new color on the house! Looks beautiful!
Wowee Zowee when you say you are spreading mulch – yowsa – you are s p r e a d I n g m u l c h!!! Love the paint color on your mansion!
Absolutely love the new color–very classic. Your home is gorgeous!

Those colors!! Love!! Love Duke Manor Farm too!
Debbie
In my humble opinion, "Farm" should be left off your new name ….. "Duke Manor" is an elegant name in itself.
The new colors look classic ….. the perfect palette to go with a sophisticated name.
Wow you have a lot in the works! I always wondered how you picked your blog name. Good for you for moving towards what is really what you are all about, love the new name! And good luck on your move to WP! XO
