Decorating using Neutral Elements
Decorating using Neutral Elements
Wood
Flowers
I used a neutral colored trey and placed a cache pot filled with some bunches of Alstroemeria that I picked up on clearance at my grocery store, for the price of a candy bar. If you want a pretty and long lasting fresh flower, these are it.
I have learned to always ask your floral department if they have any flowers that they need to get rid of or that they can sell to you at a reduced rate . Floral departments would rather sell to you then to have to throw them away. Just saying.
Texture
It’s a simple but pretty look, that mixes a bit of the inside with the outside together. The best of both worlds styled on your coffee table.

Really pretty!
You are so right about alstromeria…we have two vases from one bouquet right now that have been around for at least two weeks. If my cat would just stop eating them they'd last even longer. 🙂
I love a bit of nature and your bowl and flowers are so pretty.
Love the bowl and balls! I need to head to Pier One! Love buying flowers at the grocery. Great tip on getting Flores cheaper!!!
Thanks for the floral tip! There's so much to love on your coffee table!
I love your neutral table Laura!! The wood bowl is great and thanks for the tip about the floral dept. I will definitely do that next time! 🙂
Love that wonderful bowl and those super cute balls. I'm sure your kids would rather play with then than look at them.
Love the neutral pallet here. I'd love to come pick all of this up and put it on my table. 🙂 I might be making a trip to pier one, the balls are my favorite. XO
Beautiful ideas. Pier 1 here I come. 🙂
Nicely done! Driftwood makes every vignette interesting to me. 🙂

I love it, Laura. You have such a good eye when it comes to putting things together. Perfect. xo Diana
ps. This is not a complaint but I want to tell you that the pop-ups that come across your screen come one after the other and I have to click out of each one to read the content. Just thought you might want to know-
This looks so nice. When I first saw the balls in the bowl I thought they were for calling BINGO! I love them they are so cool and look great in the wood bowl. Hope it is warming up for y'all down there.
Cheers!
That's a pretty vignette! I love all the texture you used. Thanks for sharing the sources.
Very pretty – I love the texture and the driftwood tops it off!
