Ice storm in Northeast Georgia
Didn’t want you to think that I jetted off to a warm tropical island this week….although it would certainly be better then the ‘polar vortex blackout’ that I have been dealing with since Monday. See, we had a bit of a weather event and the one thing you hope doesn’t happen…..happened. An ice storm in Northeast Georgia.
Hopefully power will be restored in the next day or so and certainly before the coldest temperatures of the year show up tomorrow. If so, I will talk to you then.
Stay Warm.
Yep, got it here too!
Brenda
Did you lose power?
Stay safe and warm, looking forward to your next post.
Thanks ginny
I can handle any kind of weather, but just give me power…hope it comes back soon Laura…and love those gorgeous photos!
I have to admit the quiet without radio,tv and kids games is kinda nice its hemlock lack of hygiene that is getting to me. ๐

Oh-You poor girl. I hate being without power! ugh- xo Diana
I imagine it could be a whole lot worse . Preparing for another night huddled in the family room. Hope you are feeling good.
Oh gosh, I feel bad for all of you. It is 75 here today. I wish you were here.
Oh no…I hope your power comes back soon! Stay safe!
Bummer!! Stay warm — hope your power is restored soon!
xo Heidi
Oh I'm sorry about that. The last time it happened here….no power for 13 days. Hope your duration is much shorter.
Oh no! Stay warm and hopefully you'll get power soon! And pull out those board games — the kids must be going crazy without their electronic devices. Though sometimes it's nice to unplug!

The only thing good about loosing power in the winter is your freezer stuff can go outside instead of rot like it does in summer.
Feeling your pain, hope the power loss is short lived! Warmth wish for you!
Hope your power is back on by now, Laura. Not a good time of the year to lose heat. xo Laura
Sending you and yours the WARMEST thoughts. xo
Yikes! I hope that power is restored soon if not already. We didn't lose our power but did lose the internet for several hours and that was bad enough! I'm soooo ready for Winter to be over.
