Oh Yes I Am….Gonna be a Better Baker!
I think I may have tapped into a hidden desire thanks to the food network and a show called Holiday Baking Championship. Have you seen it?
Breakfast idea here
It’s a show where random people with varying degrees of skill, bake yummy things in a pretend kitchen, with limited time and get judged by a panel who decide their fate. Yikes.
Trifle recipe here
And should their delectable holiday treat pass the test, they win a hefty cash jackpot….and be on TV.
Cookie recipe here
And although I am not sure about the TV thing, I do want to step up my game in the kitchen next year. But, it all starts with making sure I have the appropriate kitchen gadgets….which I do not. Think years old cookie sheets, a hand mixer with mismatched paddles and I do not have rolling pin. sigh
And although I am not entirely sure if I will be a contestant in the next Holiday Baking Championship, or get a chance to impress those judges with my own delectable treats ….I do hope my own little judges here at home will be equally impressed with mama’s baking especially whipping something up with a new mixer ( hint hint santa)!
What are you whipping up in the kitchen this weekend?

to learn more…. and burn less in the kitchen
I’m excited to be partnering with Macy’s this Christmas to share some of my favorite gift ideas this season including these things that I would love to have in my kitchen..
WHAT? You don't have a rolling pin???? lol You poor, poor, poor, thing-bless your heart!
I have not seen that show but I will look for it. I am always baking something. Just ask my scale! xo Diana
Rolling pin??? What's a rolling pin? I got a rolling pin when I got married and I never used it. I've bought several old ones to sell again. I'm really not Susie Homemaker. Now that I have grandkids, I want to learn.
I've never seen this show. I'm a big baker

I am loving that show, and have been inspired to bake lately too. I tackled a coconut cake recently that turned out amazingly well. I took it to a Christmas party and it was a big hit. I have never thought of my self as a baker, but now I have the courage to try more often. I am so excited to watch the finale this weekend.
Looks yummy
Yum!!! I have lots of fancy gadgets sitting around collecting dust. Maybe I should wash them off. 🙂

I love baking – not cooking – just baking. Your photos of treats look so good and Christmasy!

If I can get this ankle under control, I want to do more baking. I can make a mean meringue!

It's all in the equipment with a little help from "the elves"…. Hope Santa brings you that great red mixer!
