October Review…and how stepping on acorns really does hurt!
Hello friends . Welcome to November. This is my absolute favorite time of the year. The weather, the view around the property, the general mood of people ( everyone seems to be a bit calmer before the crazy begins) and snacking on the endless stock of the kids candy left over from Halloween.
And although we have a few ‘ house’ projects that were started a while back ( more on that later) we have committed to finishing them all up by the end of this month, I will still enjoy this month immensely….. even if I step on acorns in bare feet. Ouch!
October had some great moments on the tire swing and off. Here’s some of my fav projects from the month.
My very favorite project….probably for the year ,was finishing Lily’s Bedroom here. I just love this space and how it turned out. I have some plans ( in the winter when it is too brutally cold to go outside) to carry this look into her bathroom.
I am thrilled that one Top This Top That reader now has my Fall burlap wreath on their door. Here’s the tutorial if you want to make one for your door too! I feel another giveaway coming soon.
No more plain boring lamp shade. If you have 5 minutes you can do this too.
The Lake House. Oh, how I just love this home, the beautiful location, the fact that it has crappy wifi and there is no cell service. If you missed the tour you can take it here.
And one the biggest treats in October, other then the 50 or so Almond Joys, was meeting up with my pals Kim from Savvy Southern Style (center) and her sis Kelly (left) from The Essence of Home at the Country Living Fair at Stone Mountain, Ga. Adore these ladies!
To officially kick off November, Wednesday I will be sharing why I really love this month as I join some other amazing ladies in a “Thankful at Home” event. Bloggers sharing beautiful stories, pictures and projects that describe what thankful at home means to them.
Here’s the schedule. I would love for you to follow along as we put down the paint brushes and talk from the heart.
