Christmas Decor Sneak Peek
Even though Turkey day hasn’t yet arrived , the Christmas decorations are getting ready to take their positions merrily around the house and property. My Mailman probably thinks I am nuts, with a display of some Potted Baby Spruce trees that I got from Balsam Hill on one step, and a pumpkin on the other. I like to think that this is the ‘not yet thanksgiving but close enough to Christmas ‘ look.
And despite the daily “how many days till Christmas mom” question from the kids, I have begun pulling out the boxes and getting my plan together inside the house as well. I will gladly take the questions…. sometimes upwards of 4 a day….from each child, all to have my holiday decor in place and be able to sit back, smile and enjoy the season.
My mantels will be adorned with the most realistic Balsam Fir garland ever, with lights already already on it that I got from Balsam Hill…. and a cow that looks pretty darn cute with a red and black scarf….Gap Outlet.
Something else I picked up were these Silver leaf candleholders, that will be making their Christmas debut on the main mantel, but will be perfect to have out all year long.
Sitting inside an Olive Bucket that I received from this sweet friend, is more of the most realistic garland that I ever did see, along with some of the cutest mini paper logs (albeit not as realistic as the garland) all ready for the mailman to see….should he decide to come back.
Do you have a bit of the ‘not yet thanksgiving but close enough to Christmas ‘ look going on in your home yet or are you just like my mailman?

Grateful
for any season

Wow…that garland looks real!!!…love all the sneak peeks…I need to start dragging out the boxes…I am usually half way done by now….Your "decking the halls" are off to a beautiful start!
Looks great! We host Thanksgiving so I don't start till the day after. Right now I am trying to focus on the menu and how that table will look….but now you are getting me excited about Christmas!

LOVE the little peeks Laura…I am so ready to start pulling my bins out!! I agree start early so you can sit back and enjoy it!!
No Christmas going on here yet. Thanksgiving is a very important holiday for us, so I wait till right afterwards to decorate.
I have a little up inside, but need to get some outside. Things look a bit dull out there.
Loving that garland! Can't wait to see the house all dressed up for Christmas!

We are kindred spirits. First the mats and now Balsam Hill. Big fan. I just received wreaths. Can't start Christmas until after thanksgiving

That is wonderful looking garland and looks SO realistic!!! Wow! I won a wreath from a giveaway last year and I love it—it looks like the real deal and I can't wait to get it out again this year. You are smart to get ahead of the game. xo Diana
I have to check out this website!!! The candle holders are beautiful!

I haven't done anything outside, but I have started inside. I'm not "killing myself" to get it all out & up in a day; I'm doing it a little at a time & I'm lovin' every minute of it!!
I have already informed my elves that we will be decorating for Christmas this weekend. Right now, I have a few boxes and recent holiday purchases laid out in the living room. And I'm going today to decorate my booth for Christmas. I love all your Balsam Hill goodies. I have been unimpressed with most garlands I've seen in retail stores so far this year.
Two trees went up this past weekend as did the mantel decorations. This is the first year I have been ahead of the game. I even trail behind when it comes to un-decorating (not a word but the best I can do) after the holidays. Last year, I didn't take my tree down until April. Shameful, I know.
LOVE your sneak peeks! You are right about the garland…realistic for sure!
