Lake House Tour
7 years ago, I worked with the builder and my sister on this beautiful lake house in Eastern Tennessee. You can read more about that here. The house sits right on a lake tucked back in a cove with views of the mountains. Most of the year, you get the best of both views, except for the winter when they send most of the water downstream.
It’s a log house exterior that also uses a lot of wood and stone in the interior, and all from the local area. And as painstakingly slow as the builder was to finish the house, the results are nothing short of spectacular. If you missed the first part of the outdoor tour you can click here.

Since the closet movie theater is more then an hour away, the house also has a 9 seat theater. But, if you are ‘lucky’ person number 10……..
You can either play a game of pool in the game room, or……..
Work out in the fully equipped gym . You choose.
And although we spend a lot of time in this beautiful lake house each year, sadly ….it does not belong to me. insert sigh.
It does however, belong to this girl who you may have noticed in some of the pictures.
We both hope you enjoyed the tour!

Oh my…what a most magnificent lake house…I love that it has a log cabin exterior and the log cabin exterior is brought into the interior decor of the home…A retreat beyond anyone's dreams…I cannot get over the most gorgeous beams, woodwork, staircases of this home….I give you a million thumbs up for the great design work you contributed to this home. I would definitely live there full time….and the owner seems very sweet!!!…Do you think if I threw her a bone she would let me stay for a while????
What a beautiful place! It reminds me very much of my sister's home in Montana. It was custom built as well and features local materials and stone.
Thanks for sharing!

Wow! That is an awesome house! It's huge and has so much to offer for comfort. It looks like it belongs in Colorado. I would love to stay there.
I could handle living there ~ especially if it was in Colorado or Northern New Mexico! 🙂 You are very talented & glad you can spend time there.

How beautiful and magnificent! Of course my favorite rooms would be the Great room and the bedroom with the mint green and neutrals. All so cozy too! What an honor it must have been.
Beautiful and so inviting! Reminds me of my aunt's place up at Lake Rabun. Thanks for sharing!
