Lake House Living….Outdoor Tour
On a beautiful pristine lake in the quite mountains of Tennessee, around the corner and tucked back in a cove, you will find a lake house where the outdoor spaces are just as beautiful as the indoor spaces.
One of the first stops you come to as you walk up this walkway, is the outdoor gazebo. A perfect spot for a hot tea in the morning, a glass of wine at sunset, toasting marshmallows with the kids…….
or just to sit and and relax. Click here for the tutorial on how to make those pillows.
Right off the kitchen is this outdoor dining and sitting area. Over the summer, I had a chance to make a few updates to this space. Reds were replaced with greens and blues, old iron furniture was replaced with indoor/outdoor wicker, curtains were hung and an amazing light was added to the center of the room. You can read more about how this house got started here.

This is how the space looked before the updates.
Out the door, is the main deck and patio that extends the entire backside of the house. It is spectacular. When I am here, most of my time is actually spent sitting right here……
These swings are on a lower level deck and are perfect when listening to the gentle sounds of nature and feeling the breezes that come off the lake.
And a favorite spot for all, especially for my kids, is this area…. the hot tub or ‘lake pool’ as they refer to it.

If I wasn’t on the farm, lake living in the mountains is where I would choose to be. Unfortunately my husband is a beach guy, so I think we will stay put at home in the country with the donkeys, chickens and dogs….which perfectly fine with me.
How about you… Beach , Lake Living…or a farm in the country?
Hope you enjoyed the lake house living….outdoor tour.
grateful~
GORGEOUS!!!
I love it!! The best of both worlds. Enjoy!

Gosh! I love a house with a view of water. It doesn't matter if it's the ocean or a lake. I just love to have water nearby. Love your lake house! It's decorated so pretty too. Looks like a wonderful place to get away.
It's beautiful. IF I could pick anything I would pick the beach front home. I was born and raised on a farm (great life for kids by the way) and now I live on a large lake (Green Bay) but the beach has always called my name. It soothes my soul. xo Diana
Gorgeous! And me? All of the above… anything but the rat race that Atlanta has become. Have a great day, Laura! Can't wait to see the inside…
