Monday Musings
I just returned from a weekend in Asheville, North Carolina at a woman’s conference called Becoming. A conference that encourages and inspires women to live intentionally by becoming more creative, purposeful and frugal. What a great time to learn and spend some time with some friends that I have met through blogging. Since this was a readers conference I didn’t expect to run into anybody that knew me or the blog, but I was sitting in one session and a sweet woman named Teresa walked up to me and recognized me from my photo. I knew she followed Top This Top That when she asked me about my kids….and my donkey. By way, Oreo is doing just fine.
Busting and moving to get a few things done so I can finish up Lily’s bedroom changes. It is sooooo pretty.
can't wait to see what you've been up to!
I sure wish I had that knock-out roses tips before I pulled it up because it look horrible!!!! You are one busy girl!!! I need some of your energy!
Looking forward to hearing about your conference and seeing your amazing projects. Have a great day, Laura!
I did cut mine back some last month or so, but probably not enough. Some are doing fine and some look a little pathetic.
Glad that you had a good time at your conference. I have knock out roses too. Might ought to remember your suggestion for next year. I love it when they bloom!
You've been busy! The light is gorgeous! I am hopeless when it comes to roses. After 15 years, we tore out our sad looking rose bushes…yours are beautiful though!

Hello to you and Oreo!
Did you go to Annie's class at Becoming? The location looked divine.
Lilly's bedroom is looking SO cute. I love the peeks and that bright pink is so super fun and pretty.
Happy Monday, my mom just called.. gotta run 😉
Thank goodness you posted something about Oreo, I was worried my FB readers would think I was nuts.
Oh can't wait to see Lily's room! Calling you soon to hear about Becoming… wish I could've joined you!

We cut our knock-outs back several times during their season. I don't like them too big and bushy LOL.

You can now say 2 people knew you at the conference. I attended Becoming this past weekend and really enjoyed it. I was in KariAnne workshop and saw you sitting with Rhoda. I kept telling the friend I was with Tiffany King with eatathomecooks.com that I recognized you, but couldn't figure out which blog. Later I asked Rhoda and she put the pieced together for me. I never saw you again, as I planned to say hello and that I really do enjoy our blog!
Sounds like a fun conference 🙂

Sounds like a beneficial time away for you. Getting to meet people you know from blogs is fun I would think. Even though you all show your photos, it might be hard to place where they know you from.
Love that sneak peak of fabric and fireplace mantel in your daughters room. That light is gorgeous, wow. You are always so busy with one project or another. Was Oreo sick, I must have missed a post. Look forward to seeing your daughter's room when you're done. Happy week
I would love to have a weekend to learn with other women. What a great opportunity. So many of us are like-minded women on the same journey. It's a small world.
I cannot wait for both reveals….Lily's room was beautiful before, I cannot imagine how wonderful it is now…
Still working on my "sweetie's" space…Glad you had a great time at the conference!!
Sounds like a good time! That headboard is gorgeous!
Glad I introduced myself to you at the conference Laura. I was super excited to meet you, Rhoda, and Karianne. You three are my trifecta of bloggers. The Becoming conference was well done with good topics. My husband and I stayed over to tour the Biltmore on Sunday and Monday. We love that part of the country; we were away from the Texas heat.
