The Finished Kitchen at Duke Manor Farm
The finished kitchen at Duke Manor Farm….sorta… kind of… well almost.
So, after many months of contemplating whether to paint the cabinets ( after 11 years it was time to address the wear and tear), researching how to paint them, choosing paint colors, painting the back splash, sanding every square inch, priming every square inch, and painting the cabinets, I am thrilled to share our “brighter” kitchen.
I will save all the details of our painting ‘took longer then expected adventure’, the budget for our project and the before and after pictures, in another post. I thought the slew of pictures was enough for today.
But…… just in case your the anxious type, like me….here’s a before and after or you can click here for the original Kitchen Tour. For my last Summer Home Tour click here. Ha…. I have been too busy painting to do one this year!
Enough said.
Have a great week!

The Finished Kitchen at Duke Manor Farm update. It’s been about 2 years with my white brighter kitchen and although I still love it I do have some pro’s and con’s on painting cabinets white. You can catch up with that here.
What a transformation. It looks absolutely wonderful, Laura! Looking forward to seeing the details.

Great transformation, Laura! I know that was a ton of work — great job! My kitchen cabinets are getting painted in the next few weeks and I'm sooo excited! Can you tell me where you got your cabinet hardware? Love the bin pulls you used. I've been looking at so many lately that my head is spinning! 🙂
Your kitchen is very pretty. I can't imagine the hours that must have taken but it sure was worth it.
Looks fabulous! What I wouldn't give for the natural light you have in your kitchen!!

It's beautiful, Laura. I need to show this to J. I would really like to have our cabinets painted. Something we would have to hire done at this stage of the game, but I really think it would be great.

WOW…what can one say except WOW!
The whole room looks so happy. Now I liked it before, the wood and warmth, but the new color shows off that floor and still warms the area up, and the counter tops show off as well as all your decorating. I'd say it is a huge win.

Holy crap that looks so good! Painting cabinets is a pain but it's so worth it. Your kitchen looks so light and airy now.
Oh Laura, you did an amazing job! It's gorgeous — and I know how much time and work you guys put into it to do it the right way.
Do tell — is that chandelier over the island new? Or am I just seeing it in a new light? And I love those stools, too. Were they a makeover or did you buy them that way?
I know you're just loving your gorgeous new kitchen.
Color me inspired — and impressed1

Looks fantastic! I would love it if you joined and contribute your awesome posts at my link party at City of Creative Dreams, starts on Fridays 😀 Hope to see you there at City of Creative Dreams Link Party.
Breathtaking! So incredibly gorgeous Laura! Not even the same kitchen as before. We desperately need to paint our oak cabinets… I know after it's done, I'll be wondering why I waited so long…I'm just not sure I can paint all 23 cabinets myself… My husband wants to have them professionally sprayed… I don't want to spend the money on that.
I NEED the details because you inspire me! This is one of my summer projects I am hoping to accomplish!!!
It is so bright and cheerful. Wow, what an amazing transformation.
Awesome! And you did it yourself!
WOW, What a beautiful transformation….I am in love.
