4th of July Tablescape…using .99 Duct Tape
Today I have an idea for a 4th of July tablescape…using .99 duct tape.
For the record, I have never used duct tape for decorating or crafting purposes…ever. There I said it. It’s out there.
I have sat back and ohh’d and ahhhh’d over all the ridiculously creative projects done with duct tape, in hopes of one day being accepted into the duct tape Hall of Fame…… by giving you that same ohhhh and ahhhhh moment.
So here goes.
I thought maybe that time could be today, and the project could be my 4th of July patriotic tablescape . A project where I was inspired by a pack of duct tape that I picked up at Home Depot….for .99.
I was hoping that you might be inspired by these green plastic plates that I turned into patriotic chargers with a little white spray paint and duct tape around the perimeter.
And with it’s festive flair down the middle of the table, my very used burlap runner ……with some duct tape.
The glass jars that use to hold pickles, spaghetti sauce and beets, will now be used to hold utensils and then for serving up some of my famous Georgia sweet tea, got the once around with some tape too.
And remember those fun wooden buoys that I used in my Summer mantel here, well they got a little dressed up for the soiree too…. with a little duct tape. They are sitting on top of an old wicker charger that I sprayed painted red and then placed what is technically a candle holder, but using it as a vase, for some hydrangeas and ferns that I cut from here.
Duct tape perfection.
So tell me, did it work….. am I in? I will be back tomorrow for some more of my 4th of July ideas….just in case.
Are you apart of the Duct tape Hall of Fame for your 4th of July Tablescape…using .99 Duct Tape? If not, you should be. But hurry, I don’t know how long that tape will be in stock.
Grateful for~
To live in such a great country, that I love
Not only do you get into the Red, White, and Blue Hall of Fame, but I just heard that you were inducted into the Rookie Duct Tape Hall of Fame!!!…Way, way too cute!!!…you hit it out of the ballpark as a Rookie!!!…
Love the idea to use that Duct Tape that way! Super cute!
Well, you did grand for the first time. Wonder if it will become an addictive habit! Yay, for the red, white and blue.
I'll put you at the top of the Duck tape hall of fame! I love those patriotic designs too. Think I may need to pick some of that tape up …
🙂 Linda
Ummm……YES, I think you are definitely "in!" While I have never used duct tape for decorating, either, you may have just inspired me with your very clever patriotic project!
How cute! I love how you trimmed the plates in it and the jars. I've never seen that duct tape before. They're coming out with so many colors and patterns now.
Cute ideas! Love duct tape!
