Craft Room Reveal
Of all the projects that I am so thrilled to have completed, this ranks right up there… My Craft Room. And today its all about the craft room reveal.
Today, I am taking you through a random little journey into a space that makes me quite happy, motivated, and more organized then I knew I could be.
Before I share some of the changes, I wanted to remind you how this space started….and why changes were necessary, then you will know why my new space makes me feel the way it does.
The transformation is so amazing that even I have a hard time believing that this image was taken from the exact same spot just months apart. You can see the entire journey here and here.
To be fair, I am not the only one who is thrilled with the new space.
The color pencils are happy they now can be organized and easily found when needed.
Pictures are happy because I spray painted it to coordinate with the hot pink rug that I got from Mohawk that sets the tone for the space and serves as the focal point for the room.
The lampshade that I made is happy, because it gets to sit on the ‘sewing side’ of the room and provide some extra light. The clock, frame and peg board holders are happy cause they were also sprayed to match everything else.
The cabinets from the garage are happy, because they were refreshed and repainted white and are so much happier holding my craft supplies, then holding garage junk.
The craft table is much happier now that I painted it white, then it was when it was black and being used in the breakfast area in the kitchen. The glass top is perfect when cleaning up a craft mess.
The gift bags and wrapping paper are happy because they are hung neatly on peg board and ready to go when needed.
My husband is much happier because this is the view that he sees each day when he walks into his office on the other side of the wall that we put up. You can read more about that here.
Even my kids are happier, because they now have a great space to come up to and craft, color and make mom special cards that just melt my heart.
Everyone is so happy….. I could have sworn that the glue sticks and scissors were holding hands singing kumbaya the other day.
What space in your home makes you just so ….. happy?
Amazing transformation. I love the colors.
Such a fun happy place! Great color choice!
What a fun space and I love all the pops of red!

Love it Laura!! The bright colors are so fresh and fun!! Who wouldn't want to create in this space? 🙂 Enjoy!!
Refreshing stuff makes me happy too, I totally get why the glue sticks and scissors are singing! Love it all, I only hope that one day my craft room looks this happy!
This is truly inspiring! I need to do this to our second room; it's definitely resembling the before picture more!
Oh Laura…the new craft room is truly "craft fabulous" with major "craft happiness" I love that you chose that great "happy" color…and the choice of the table and chairs in the middle of the room is not only beautiful but so very functional!….Beauty and function and lots of happy lends this to be one of my very favorite craft rooms ever!!!!…Great job as usual Laura!…
What a happy space to craft and be creative in….it looks wonderful and so inviting!! I can see how your kids would enjoy it so much too!! It is so great to have a space just for creating in a home and not have to move it all again after you are done. A great transformation…..you will get so much more done!! Thanks for sharing……and the glass on the table is a fabulous idea….I just used a large piece I had for my table and taped off the edges with duct tape….such an easy cleanup!! Blessings, Linda
And I'M HAPPY just seeing this and anticipating the day when my adult kids move out and I can convert one of the bedrooms into just such a happy place….thanks for posting!
LOL ~ glue stick and scissors . . . singing! This whole transformation is wonderful. Great job!
I love it! I think a craft room should be colorful and yours is. I think a craft room should have lots of storage for supplies and yours does. I think a craft room should have space to craft and yours does. I think YOUR craft room could be in a magazine! Really! Looks so pretty and functional too.
It looks great, Laura. I see lots of creativity in your future. xo Laura
LAURA! I have craft room envy. That space is sooooo flipping cool. It's got everything. And it's so bright and happy and fun. Wishing you and the kids years of happy crafting and creating in there!! I really love it.
I giggled all the way through this post! How adorable… and what a craft room!! The transformation is amazing and now I'm wanting a place to make things. I would be a whole lot neater with such a pretty room!
I bet when you are not around all the scissors and papers and glue stick and ribbons and pillows and crayons and colored pencils are singing the Hallelujah chorus!!!!
You better check on all those craft supplies each morning cuz I think they are going to be sneaking around and partying at night. That's what happy supplies do you know. The room is awesome by the way!
Fantastic transformation! Better keep an eye on your glue sticks and scissors, or you may end up with littlke glue stissors!
Hi Laura! Just came across your blog and it's adorable! I'm so jealous you have this amazing craft room. It would inspire me to do crafts all the time 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Best,
Chelsea
