Easy Boxwood Heart Wreath
If you love a pretty little wreath….shaped in a heart….with natural greenery, then this easy boxwood heart wreath is for you.
Typically Valentines Day is not some blown out hyped-up holiday in our house. We try to celebrate and teach our children that love, affection and happy hearts should happen everyday.
But in the spirit of creating something special that I could admire and look at all month, I created this heart boxwood wreath.
You may remember, I made this wreath last month. I couldn’t help venturing out to the backyard and collecting a handful of boxwood clippings to make another wreath.

At the risk of sounding redundant, you can follow my full tutorial for making a boxwood wreath here.
I found that keeping the boxwood wreaths in a colder environment and misting it with water every so often, helps it from not drying out so quickly….so you can enjoy it longer.

Perfectly lovely for Valentine's Day!
super cute, laura!
To preserve boxwood, you soak the stems in Glycerin. Here is a post that I found for preserving boxwood. I have not tried it yet.

I need a boxwood bush so I can make cute crafts like you! That is so cute.
This is really pretty and I love the ribbon choice. Your photos are superb!! Is that with the new lens?
I love it — or more like I'm in love with it! I'm seriously going to plant boxwoods in my garden this summer just so I can use their clippings for wreaths!!! Next year will be the year of the boxwoods!
🙂 Linda
Love the wreath Laura!…My hubby is getting ready to take out some of our boxwoods that are not looking so great, so I shall salvage some branches to make one of your gorgeous wreaths…thanks for the tutorial!

Laura, I found a tutorial online for preserving boxwood. I'll try to Google it again and send it to you. It involves lots of glycerin, floral dye and several weeks time.
As abundant as boxwood is, though, the easiest choice may be to make a new wreath every few months! Love your heart shaped one.
Hi Laura, I really love the simplicity of your heart-shaped wreath and that gorgeous ribbon that you used. Thinking of trying to preserve some boxwood too since it's so expensive!!!
I'm a sucker for anything boxwood and your wreath is just adorable! Love the pink and white ribbon that you used to hang it with.
Oh Laura! This wreath is fabulous!! I'm constantly snipping boxwood from my parent's yard for just such projects… I just can't seem to get enough of it. I saw back around Christmas that Miss Mustard Seed shared a link to a boxwood preserving tutorial – I haven't attempted that yet but I am planning to try it. I think it would definitely pay off in the long run! Thank you for this fun project inspiration!!
So pretty! I need to look for that wire form! Love using boxwood as well. It lasts so long!!! ~Christy
I absolutely love this idea! Its creative, fun, and inexpensive! Love, love this and I will out in my back yard clipping branches in thew snow 🙂 Checking this out from whipperberry link party! I pinned this!

this is right up my alley…very simple yet very beautiful!
What a pretty wreath Laura. The best thing about it is that it is green… a welcomed sight in winter. Oh, and another thing… it looks so easy to make! I have boxwood in the front of StoneGable, and would love to try this, as soon as the snow melts. I'm also so inspired when I visit! xo
