My Thanksgiving Table…. a label and a giveaway
I know it all sounds crazy, that I could base this decision all on a label….but I did. And today, I want to show you three ways I am incorporating the labels that I customized using Avery’s on-line tool into Thanksgiving.
When my guests sit down at the table to enjoy our traditional Thanksgiving dinner, my Thanksgiving place cards will greet them. To make them, I simply selected a template from the Thanksgiving holiday category, customized the message and then hit print on my computer. I then cut a square out on white poster board and placed the label in the middle. That was easy.
Who’s hungry……..let’s eat!
After we have completely stuffed ourselves, it is still likely that we will have leftovers. Part of our tradition is to pack goodie bags for our guests to take home and enjoy….so it avoids more ‘over eating’ long after the guests have left. This year I will be using the labels that I printed and attaching them to brown paper bags. Although optional, it is just a nice little touch and dresses the bag up a bit.
Speaking of nice little touches, Thanksgiving generally kicks off the baking season for me and even though I can’t cook…..I can bake, or at least I think I can. I tend to bake gifts for our neighbors, friends and teachers. This year I gathered up some old metal tins, gave them a fresh coat of spray paint and printed out some labels to attach to the top. Another easy, creative, and delicious way to use a label.
That’s it...pretty sweet and easy.

I use labels to help me stay organized. In my pantry, for my pasta and baking goods, in my craft room on my baskets so that I can see in an instant what is in there, and third for my spices. The spices are my favorite because I can change them with the seasons.
Living in the South, you always have to have Sweet Tea and Unsweetened Tea. Print a label instead of guessing or like we do – wrap a bread tie. So much nicer to have a label!!
I'm a labeler from way back when masking tape and a Sharpie was the go to method. I'm happy to report I've graduated to labels that are a bit more stylish… well, except for all the Christmas boxes!
Thanks for the opportunity!
I love labels! I have chalkboard labels with jute hangers on decorative decanters on my bakers rack with balsamic vinegar, spices etc. and they look so cute plus very functional. I have been looking at Thanksgiving printables to use at each place setting for my table this year and you have given me some great ideas. I used to use Avery printables all the time, I will have to check this out again~
Thanks,
Jenna
I use labels to keep my kids' toys organized. Mine are more functional and less"cute" but it works for us! 🙂

What lovely ways you used labels! I use them on my shoes. I purchased clear shoe boxes from the dollar store and have each pair labeled. Makes getting dressed and staying organized that much easier!
I love how you used the labels. I label all my craft supplies and boxes in the basement.
I label my storage containers so I know what is in them. nancythedove@aol.com
We use labels in the garage for all the storage bins.
I label my sewing room boxes so I will know what fabric is in each box. For the holiday I would label the plastic bags I put cookies or candy in to give as a small gift to friends and neighbors.
Use labels to keep my notebooks organized….TY
I use labels in the entryway boxes for each person's items of the day!
I print so many things on labels! I love the full sheet labels so I can print a cute printable off the internet to layer on another piece of background paper but instead of using adhesive, I use the label sheets and they lay down so much nicer!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I use labels almost every day in order to keep all areas of my like (work and personal) organized. One thing I did to keep our linen closet in order (which is in a high traffic hallway upstairs) was to purchase clear, plastic shoe boxes. Each box has a category (general first aid, cold meds, sports injury, etc.) and at the end of each stackable box is a label with the category in bright bold colors! Then there isn't the "MOM…where are the bandaids?!" – instead they just go to the general first aid box and voila…bandaids! 🙂
I use labels on my craft boxes. I have tons and keep myself organized by using them for specifics — like paints, embellishments, brushes, etc. They help immensely and I can find things so quickly this way!
Actually….I don't use labels: but I am very organized by nature and would love to.If I win I would probably spend $100 on a label maker! Lol

You are so crafty!! I've never dipped oreos in chocolate, but love how yours turned out in the orange color. so cute! Such a great idea to send leftovers home with everyone in cute bags too. I'm not much of a label user here at my house. I guess the only things I've labeled are boxes in my computer cabinet and jars with baking supplies. I need to get more crafty like you!
I use them on wrapped Christmas or birthday gifts

Your ideas are always so simple and cute. Thanks.
I use labels in the pantry. I transfer things from their original packaging to pretty containers I recycle. So my boys won't get confused, I label the contents. Some recipes wouldn't be the same if you used flour instead of powdered sugar. LOL

I also use labels on my goodie bags, they look so cute and are so easy to do! And I am soo making orange colored chocolate oreos!
I label all my drawers in my craft room. That way I know where stuff is!!!!
I label all storage bins for the garage…Keeping it simple and easy to "see" what is in there. The other thing I like to do is label a file for each year of school for my girls–and I fill it with art work, awards, grades, photos, etc. After each year, that file goes into a plastic bin for future passing down to my girls when they are done with school.
I use labels in my pantry to help me keep all the food organized!

I have labels on my spice rack so I don't have to pull out each individual spice every time and it makes it easier to grab

I make goat cheese and put labels on the cellophane to seal it up. There is a space to write the flavor and date. 🙂 Labels give a finished, polished look….that extra touch.

So great! I use labels to organize my pantry and my office mostlyl
I used to struggle every morning getting my toddler dressed, but not anymore! I put labels on my toddler's dresser drawers with drawings of the clothes (like pants or a long-sleeved top) so she knows what is in each drawer and gets to choose her own clothes. She has gained some independance and really enjoys being a "big girl"… and the labels make the difference!
Labeling all of the storage containers filled with my son's toys and clothing. I'm hoping for a second child and want to keep everything organized so we can easily access the hand-me-downs.

My pantry is organized with labels.
I made an art collage from labels … took my digital photos and printed just a portion of each picture on the label, then stuck the labels up on a mounting board in a grid. Stand back and its a modern pointillism piece! When I want to add a new "pic" I just stick a label over one I've tired off. You know, I may have to share this project on my blog some day!
I love to label, but I should be more stylish about it so they are not merely functional.

I use labels in a variety of ways around the home and tend to find them perfect for organizing my children's craft supplies. I also use them to address gifts over the holiday season! I have never used a template though but I really think I should because they create fantastic designs.

I use Avery labels for everything. I use them to identify boxes in the garage, to let someone know I've given them a baked good with nuts in it, to address cards and invitations. The possibilities are endless! I also use them to make return address labels for every holiday, season, and special occasion. It gives it a nice little touch.
I would love to use them in the kitchen on my jars for flour, sugar, salt etc…

I use labels for all the standard uses – file folders, storage boxes, freezer packages – but the most creative thing is keeping track of my favorite football team scores. I get a nifty poster every year with the schedule and to keep it looking really neat I print a label with the score after the game. I don't like making my pretty poster ugly with my handwriting!!
