Applescape Fall Mantle
I am not quite sureΒ the localΒ Mantle Society will award me forΒ the most creative fall mantle this year…..
But that’s totally fineΒ with me, because I willΒ probably win most original mantle (fingers crossed)Β since seeing I did a similar version of apples last year. This years version is slightly modified to include a just a few more leaves……. and more apples.
And in my acceptance speech as I stand before the thrones of mantle loving well wishers passing out apples, I will tell them……..
If you love apples and brightly colored leaves and mums……do that.
Create a mantle with what you have on hand instead of buying new.
Stick with what you like…..even if it’s year after year.Β
If it works for you and your fall home,Β why recreate it.Go with it.
And if I so choose to do apples again next year, the only change that I foresee is that I may have to change the price to .06 an apple (inflation ) ….but that’s okay, I love apples.

love the orchard sign and the apples! looks delicious! π
I tend to stick to the same fall decorating around our home. I love what I have so I use it! It is of course mixed up a bit each year. I do buy one maybe two new little things, if the price is right. I love your apple theme and of course your sign is perfect! Have a delightful day!
I'm with you … why fix it if it ain't broke! Love how you improved upon a winner …

I love using apples for fall decor and your mantel is perfect. Great leaf garland too. I would love for you to link up to my Inspire Me party this afternoon. http://www.astrollthrulife.net. Hugs, Marty
Laura, my coffee table will go quite well with your mantel. I have a tarnished silver server full of apples and an oil lamp on the coffee table. Simplistic perfection!! π
Luv the mantel and that you sued what you had. As did I. Not one cent spent on Fall decor this year.
Hugs, Gee
Beautiful!! We are having a fireplace installed with a mantle and built in bookshelves. I can't wait to use your mantle as inspiration!
I really love your mantel. The leaves are so colorful and the pop of red with the apples is so pretty. Great job!!

Very cute- love the apples and the leaves. That's a cute sign too.
Pretty sure they're knocking on your door right now to give you your award! I love that the apples and your awesome sign are enjoying an encore performance!!
Beautiful mantle. I vote for you to be the winner of the Fall Mantle Award. The colors are so pretty.
When I was teaching elementary school and school actually began after Labor Day, I used an apple motif. I had found an apple garland somewhere and always enjoyed it.
The apple of my eye!
Hey, if it ain't broke…! Love it just as much this year — that sign is to die for. π

I agree. It's perfect so why change it π
Very pretty!!
It would be nice to see a picture of your whole fireplace with all of the decorations instead of just the bits and pieces – I am having a difficult time picturing how everything looks together. I love all of the bright colors.
I love your fall mantel. I was going to do the spilled apples in my sunroom, but changed my mind. Didn't have enough apples.
You are too funny…but you may have to change it to 08…the ways things are going…Apples…such a beauty of nature!
