Two Peas in a pod and a table makeover
Ahhh… it’s great to be back. After a week away on my staycation, did you miss me as much as I missed you? Hope so.
Hey, did I ever mention to you that I am twin? Yup. There are two of us. We are 4 mins apart and are tighter then a pair of skinny jeans. Two peas in a pod. We tend to finish each other’s sentences, have the same style in clothes and love our manicures and pedicures. We love the same perfume, same music and share similar decor.
There is just one small little difference however that set’s us apart.
Ready to hear what it is?
See I am a picker, the ultimate repurposer and DIY’ every time type of gal. She on the other hand is totally not. Don’t get me wrong she completely supports my habits, especially if it’s something for her. Like a “kick it to the curb” table that I found. Who does that??
Anyhow, I thought it would be perfect in my sisters den and reluctantly at first…..so did she.
First thing was to dust it off and put an off white base on this otherwise old but in great condition table.
Then it came decision time. Color. Something else that sets me and my twin apart is I can come to a color decision fairly quickly, she on the other hand ….not so quickly. After a couple of hours and what would have taken me a few nano seconds, we decided on pulling some more green into the room and using an existing pillow as our color match.
A couple of coats of paint followed by some light distressing and a protective coat on the top and it’s such an amazing piece in the room. We both agree. See that clock in the background in the above picture, click here to see how I painted that.
See, we also think great minds think alike. We are twins after all.
I will be back later this week to share some other updates that I did to this “home way from home” space of mine her’s.
Gorgeous color – gorgeous makeover!
I have twin daughters by the way 🙂
XOXO

It looks beautiful! Love the green!
I knew that you were a twin, but I loved hearing a little more about it! The table looks great. A very, very pretty shade of green. You need to talk your sister into letting you show us her whole room! 😀
Love that table! Somebody put it on the curb?? Wish I'd find one like that at the curb.
Someone threw that away. Lucky it was found by you. Love the green and welcome back.

Oh, I lovely little table transformation for sure! My son is a twin but I lost one before their birth.
Be a sweetie,
Shelai 😉
Love this color. Lucky sisters!
Love the table -can't figure out why so many people leave great stuff at the curbside -one man's trash . . I guess.
Love the color of the table and can't wait to see the rest!
The table turned out like an expensive piece from a retailer! A twin, how fun, and I am so excited that my son is about to propose to his girlfriend who is an identical twin. Soft spot in my heart for twins!
So pretty. And what a wonderful sister you are to take on home improvement projects while on your staycation!
🙂 Linda
I did miss you! I was thinking yesterday about you and wondering how your staycation was going. LOVE your table 🙂

I love how it turned out -the green looks amazing on that piece. Love the twin story-but I definitely think we should get HER side of the story now! xo Diana
How fun that you have a twin. I have twin granddaughters — at 14, they fight like cats and dogs, but love each other to pieces! Great save and redo on that little table. It is so cute!
What a cute table!!!
