Summer Mantle
Hard to believe the lazy days of summer will soon come to an end and my kids are headed back to school next week. My twins will be entering Kindergarten and my oldest will be in 2nd grade. Handing them over to a wonderful school with wonderful teachers seems so scary yet exciting for them….and me.
Simple, uncomplicated moments that have made this summer so special.

Wow! You guys go back early! That will be a nice break, even though it'll be bittersweet handing your babies over. The mantle looks great!
Gosh, they are going back earlier and earlier aren't they? Seems like they just got out. They sure don't have the summer vacation we use to have. Love your summer mantel.
Love the bicycle. Where did you ever find it?
Wow – I can't believe that school is already starting for your kiddos! They must get for the summer much earlier. It seems like summer just gets started and then it's time to head back. Love your summer mantle. The bike is adorable and is the perfect touch.
Just picked up my class list yesterday — back at it in a couple of weeks, too. My son starts back on Aug 7… ugh. :/
Boo to the end of summer.
xo Heidi
Wow school already! I can't believe it, our kids in NJ never start until after Labor Day but they get out much later not until the end of June. Love your summer mantel so pretty!
Cynthia
Already??? Wow. I guess I am old fashioned enough to think that August should still be summer vacation. xo Laura
It's hard to believe that summer goes by so fast! Your mantel is so pretty Laura, heading over to see how you made that awesome sign…
xo, Tanya
That mantle is a hymn to serenity and contentement. As it should. As you all deserved.
You're a breath of fresh air… I've just received in my inbox a publication saying I should start Christmas Crafts… so instead of ranting and screaming I came here and everything is still right in some worlds 😉
Thank you for sharing,
Teresa (leaving to enjoy those home tours )
Your mantel is adorable. I love that bicycle – what a great find. I just found your blog and I am your newest follower on bloglovin. I would love for you to stop by my blog sometime at http://homeandlifestyledesign.blogspot
Thanks, Patty
All your babies will be in school! You will have a little time for yourself…oh, goodie! Your mantle is such a summer treat love the soft colors.
I love your summer mantel, the bicycle is perfect. The vase rapped in jute is so pretty too. Thanks tons for the visit and promoting the tours. You asked about the mirror in the family room, that came from Ethan Allen years ago. I love that piece too. I hope you liked the Chocolate Crackles, that
s what I made. Hugs, Marty
(1) I cannot believe your kids are back in school next week!!!! (2) Love that white bicycle! (2) How crazy that we will see each other in a week! Can't wait!
