Office Evolution
They say good things happen to “offices” who wait. Really they do.
See, it only took my office a few color schemes over the course of several years, and several gallons of paint to get to this point.
From Meadow Green a few years ago, to which I blame that color choice entirely on my pregnancy hormones, with twins………
so it was slightly elevated
To a much more soothing beige that had me unfortunately uninspired and always wanting more…..
To my now peaceful, calm and serene workplace.
Months of colors thrown on a wall
while contemplating the right decision
And every time I hear that old cliche that good things come to offices that wait , I have to smile……
and so does my office.
Are you working on any room evolutions right now?

Actually, I like all of them! Your current office is truly elegant and serene, I don't know how much work I'd get done in there, I'd be too busy smiling and relaxing! It's beautiful,
Jenna
Amazing what paint can do 🙂
Love your changes. fondly ~lynne~
Absolutely beautiful. What a lovely place to work!
It's like the after photo glistens and glows …

It's funny how other before always makes me think "Oh my, what on earth was the poor soul thinking????" and the after "there's light after darkness" 😉 but not with you.
I love all the phases, all the colors, and can see Top in everyone of them. You really have a knack for it, mindless the era/time you're decorating in. You are one of those persons that don't get a "oh my, those 80's. tscc tscc" but "oh, right, that was your 80's office!"
Absolutely in love with your now. I'd sleep there had it be mine ahahahah. I'm moving my home office (now I'm bragging because in fact it is just a desk ;)) from the dressing room to the space below the stairs which in fact is in the living room. So many decisions for a desk and a wall… but I'll come around :hopeful:.
Welcome back, by the way.
Hugs,
Teresa
it is amazing how beautiful it is! i have been thinking of you all week, friend. i hope you are doing ok and hanging in there.
If good things come to offices that wait, then mine has hope for something magical in it's future as well 🙂 Your space is divine Laura, thinking of you and your family often, hugs

Oh your office is beautiful. Sometimes going through the process can be frustrating, but yours was well worth the wait. So calm and serene! One day I hope my office space can be like that.
Also, Laura, my heart is so saddened at the loss of your beautiful niece. Like so many others, our family is praying for yours – that you will find comfort in our Savior, Jesus Christ and experience a peace that passes all understanding as you journey through this heartache. May the days ahead be filled with wonderful memories of Jessica's beautiful life.
Popped over her from BNOTP and then followed your link to the office story – and I am SO encouraged! I am not alone in not getting it "right" the first time. The finished office is gorgeous!

Your office is beautiful and I love the paint color. One question, is the ceiling fixture lined in striped fabric or is it spokes on the shade?

Hi Laura, I would love to know if you painted the silver frames on your wall. I've been trying to find a good silver paint to re-purpose some frames I have. I would love to know what you used and it you would recommend it. They look great!
This looks great! I've been working on my living room transformation. Slowly but surely I'm figuring out the details…
